HOW A SCHOOL RELATIONSHIP IS MADE

First of all, you need to understand what the teacher has assigned you the written report. Generally, a report can relate to:

  • an experience like a trip, a visit to the museum, a visit to a factory, etc.
  • reading a book or watching a movie
  • a science experiment
  • These types of relationships differ only in regards to the documentation to be followed and the topics to be described, but otherwise have the same structure on which to work.

How to read up for the school report.

The first thing to do for a written report is to read up on the subject. Whatever it is, it is necessary to collect sufficient material to describe everything in detail:

  • for the report on a trip or a visit to the museum, the material to be taken into consideration will consist of the travel or day program, photographs, anything that documents all the activities carried out in these situations
  • for the report on a book or a film, information is needed about the author of the book, the plot (of the book and the film), the characters, the environment, the message sent to us by the author or director in the case of the film
  • finally, for the science report, photographs and all the information about the experiment and the experiment phases are needed.
  • How to write the report.
  • Once enough material has been collected, it is possible to move on to the next phase, namely the drafting of the report. But how do you write a report correctly and according to the right rules? Here are all the steps to follow:

Make a preliminary ladder

Before starting to write, make a ladder on what you want to say, so the work will be clear and orderly. For example, suppose you have to do a report on a trip; the ladder will be written this way:

  • introduction: destination of the tour, period, general information
  • departure and program
  • first day: visited places and activities
  • second day: visited places and activities
  • conclusions and evaluation regarding this experience

Write following the lineup
After having rearranged the ideas it is time to write! Write down the lineup, and remember to structure the theme by inserting an initial introduction, the actual discussion, and finally the conclusions. Also, importantly, it is necessary to describe everything in detail, trying not to skip anything.

We must also be careful about how a relationship is made based on the subject matter, because it changes what we must write:

  • report on excursion or guided tour: in this case we must introduce in a general way the lived experience, describing the goal, the program, and say who participated.
  • Then we will talk about everything that has been done, clearly specifying the names of the places, of what we have seen and how the various activities have been organized.
  • Finally, in the conclusion the general impressions about the lived experience will be put.

report on a book or a film: this type of relationship should be introduced by information about the book or film, the author or director. Then we move on to the plot, the analysis of the characters and the environment, to any messages received. In the conclusion, then, personal considerations regarding the book or film will be made.

science report: a scientific report must be introduced by specifying the experiment done and a brief explanation of what it is about. We must then say what was used, and describe all the phases, in chronological order, of the experiment.

It specifies what happened during the various phases, and finally concludes by saying what has been achieved, whether the experiment has succeeded and what has eventually been discovered.

Make the final review of the report

After writing everything, you can re-read, refine the report, correct errors, add something. Insert the images and photographs if needed, arrange them in the right way, and then print and deliver them to the teacher.
