Pat Buchanan was right!

In Pat Buchanan’s “culture war” speech delivered in Houston in 1992, he addressed the issue of cultural conflict. Many of the changes he warned of in that speech have come to pass, women are now in combat, homosexuals have demanded equal legal status, religious schools are discriminated against, Christians are discriminated against and radical feminism is more mainstream. The Attorney General has taken a stand concerning hate crimes and how they are used against certain groups. The head of the Hussein regime now wants to persuade ALL Americans to accept homosexuality.

There are still fellow citizens, perhaps neighbors or even family members and loved ones, who still hold fast to worn arguments and old attitudes,”

Folks, it is clear, the head of the Hussein regime refers to the Christian values as “worn arguments and old attitudes”.  It can not be much clearer. He does not regard Biblical authority. He does not share the same values, he does not respect those with different values. If you do not agree with his view of the world, he regards you as ‘wrong’, or having ‘worn arguments’ or as having ‘old values’. If he refers to Christianity as ‘old values’, I shudder to consider what are the ‘new values’.

The Usurper’s statement makes it clear that the empire has gone onto the offensive in the culture war. The regime is attacking Christianity and Southern culture with a vengeance. Bear in mind that in 1980, women did not serve in combat, homosexuality was a pathology (and sin), traditional marriage was the norm and the nation did not control guns, electricity or toilets. Has human nature changed that much in 25 years or have social engineers redefined what is ‘acceptable’ ? The government has gone in the wrong direction, when it now tries to micromanage our lives and attack the values and culture of Southrons.

The culture war that Buchanan warned of is now upon us in full scale assault. It is sad the the regime is attacking traditional values with great zeal. The ideas of the one man one woman marriage, the Confederate flag, free speech, moral absolutes, right to bear arms, or America being a “Christian” nation are now all passe according to the regime. They have constructed a control grid of volunteer slave labor camps,  lifestyle change police, control grid of medical information, control grid of healthcare, control grid of energy, etc. These control grids amount to the culture war getting ready to ratchet things up.

Sometimes it helps to look around and realize how much things have changed, how many freedoms have been lost, and how sick the administration is.

Another Imperial Presidency? Bush and FDR

According to the latest from the current regime, those who put America first and want us to mind our own business are troubling.

“I’m troubled by isolationism and protectionism … (and) another ‘ism,’ and that’s nativism. And that’s what happened throughout our history. And probably the most grim reminder of what can happen to America during periods of isolationism and protectionism is what happened in the late – in the ’30s, when we had this America First policy and Smoot-Hawley. And look where it got us.”

This speech is full of arrogant Yankee thinking. It presupposes that our occupiers know more about what is best for us than we do. It also places those who want to protect American businesses in a bad light. It makes all those who want America first and want this land to be our homeland as trouble makers. If this is his mindset, then there will be agencies to enforce this way of thinking on the populous.  The speech represents a line of thinking that the States United are a prize to be given to the highest bidder rather than a sovereign nation that has the moral duty and obligation to protect itself. Such talk coupled with the rigid mindset of “You’re either with us or against us” is a dangerous combination. This combination suggest that the empire wants to continue expanding and allowing more nations and peoples into their big tent.

One of the many things that troubles me is the reference to isolationism.  The empire is not minding its own business, and as long as the political machine continues manufacturing politicians to serve as the figure head of the empire, it will not likely quit meddling in others affairs.

The commentator Pat Buchanan takes a closer look at the speech in the light of historic realities. The facts do not support the claims made in the speech. Buchanan’s analysis reveals that the “evil isolationist” consisted of those Congressional leaders who opposed his involving the nation in a global war. Men like Texan Martin Dies stood their ground against FDR. Even Texan John Nance Garner believed that FDR was going too far in his decisions. What FDR wanted, he found a way to obtain even when it broke tradition and verged on violating the Constitution. The references to FDR and his imperial regime hints that someone else wants to have an imperial regime as well. Recall that under FDR, the Supremes ruled that farmers could not grow food for their own consumption. Is this nation headed that way again? FDR was the one who opened the borders to immigration, since he had sent the nation’s workforce to fight wars overseas. He set up many programs directed at opening the border even wider. In many ways his imperial policies only differed from those of his rivals in terms of the symbols and banners they used.

Any way one looks at it the speech is unsettling. It reveals a mindset that does not put the nation, its people, their security and liberties as priorities for this administration.

The League advocates taking care of the people, their liberty and security first. The League advocates staying out of other nation’s business unless we are attacked. The League advocates free trade, without the preferred nation status mess. The League seeks to protect our homeland, since this is our home rather than the prize to be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Freedom versus Equal Rights

When faced with the choice of freedom versus equal rights, which do you choose? Which one would you send your son or daughter to fight for? Here in 2007, Southern sons and daughter are fighting and dying so that the ten commandments can be removed from public buildings, the government can take you land through eminent domain and that homosexuals can not be discriminated against. This is the NEW American way. These are the values we fight for.

In a thought provoking column, Pat Buchanan addresses how we have traded freedom for equality. He points out that employers are no longer free to hire and fire whom they wish. He also points out that culturally, the Empire is totally different than the American values of the 1950’s. Buchanan points out that the conservatives in many ways lost the cultural war.

In other words, the values “The Greatest Generation” fought for in World War II are not the values that the present generation are fighting for. The values people are fighting for now are totally antithetical to the values of that generation. If the Empire 2007 were placed side by side with the Empire 1941, the greatest generation would be fighting this generation, because they would be able to see evil for what it is. Although the word equality sounds good, the meaning it has in 2007 differs vastly from what it meant in 1776 or 1861 or 1941. Think about it. The 1941 generation fought against police state tyranny, against nations that intruded into privacy. “Your papers please” was seen as a threat to freedoms. Nazi Germany was very anti-smoking, and now look at how many places in the Empire are vehemently anti-smoking by rule of the government. Look at the firearms laws of 1941 versus 2007. American boys fought and died across Europe and the Pacific to keep governments from registering and taking weapons.

Just take a look and compare for yourselves:

Freedom Comparison

1941

2007

-Freedom to smoke in public

Yes

No

-Freedom to bear arms

Yes

No

-Freedom of Speech

Yes

No

-Freedom to buy and sell homes to whom you pleased

Yes

No

-Freedom to rent to whom you pleased

Yes

No

-Freedom to hire and fire whom you pleased

Yes

No

-Freedom to travel without documentation

Yes

No

It is sobering to consider in terms of values how much things have changed.

Free the South from such tyranny.

Free Texas!

“We can’t have them know the truth”

When you have an organization with $200 million in the bank, and many lawyers on staff, what do you direct your efforts at accomplishing? In the case of the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center), they focus on removing and attacking inconvenient facts. In a recent action, they attempted to discredit Pat Buchanan, who cited crime statistics that reveal trends that the SPLC does not want people to know. What is this fact that is so disturbing that a financial leviathan is taking action to prevent its disclosure? In Pat Buchanan’s article, The Color of Crime, he cites this statistic:

He noted, for example, that blacks commit more violent crime against whites than against blacks, and that they are seven times more likely than other Americans to commit murder.s

The SPLC quickly took action to discredit this information. If people know the truth, they may make different choices, especially in a society where opinions are controlled by the Empire and its lackeys.  The organization worked at discrediting the source of the information and put spin on the issue, including information from psychological studies. The SPLC writer combined writings on psychopathology with the race statistics to change the meaning of what writers and the statistics have said. This is the type of tactics they use-”spin” and “misinformation”. With organizations like the SPLC going around and ‘hiding’ truths, it is no wonder that people are confused and become more susceptible to propaganda.

It is not just Pat Buchanan. Walter Williams has also spoken out concerning these statistics as well.
