Acorn’s threat to Texas freedoms

In thinking through the Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae debacle, my research brought the group ACORN to my awareness. The group will benefit financially from the bill, by receiving money from loans made over $100,000. Although CONgress approved the legislation, do they know the reputation this group has? In some states, ACORN workers have been convicted of voter fraud. In Missouri, they manufactured bogus voter ID. Despite their history of widespread fraud in voter registration, Houston Mayor Bill White welcomes the group.  At least in neighboring city of Pasadena, its Mayor, Johnny Isbell had sense enough to kick them out of a city council meeting.  They had also protested how the police arrested illegal criminal aliens. Now do they want the local government to take action or not? The confused agenda does little more than stifle and confuse.

Although the group often has good intentions, the use of voter fraud is not honorable. The group also advocates a ‘living wage’ and has lobbyied CONgress to mandate laws concerning that. Seeking redress for community issues from government is not the answer. Government is the problem, not the solution. It is dangerous to think that now this group is going to receive even more funding.

This group is not good for the South. We have enough politicians taking away our freedoms without groups like acorn sucking at the goverment teat, watering down our votes, demanding less arrest of criminals and wanting MORE government.  Make no mistake, they are at work conducting voter registration drives across Houston and other cities of Texas in prperation for the upcoming election.

Free Texas!
