Department of Energy overstepping its boundaries!

As the problems in the Gulf of Mexico threaten many Southern States, and the prospect of higher energy costs are a concern, what is the empire’s Department of Energy up to? They are wanting to further regulate shower heads! Yes, shower heads. No longer will people have choices about how much water they use and the types of heads available. The nanny government of the empire will soon limit your choices to only those approved by them.

This is just the latest example of the hubris and micromanaging policies that the Obama regime and his lackey Dr. Steven Chu have come up with. Chu’s has been an environmental doom and gloom guy for some time. Even when proven wrong by scientific data, he continues persisting in his delusions.. This is the same Nobel-prize winning Steven Chu that stated that BP is going to help save the world.

Take a look at him stating so:

Texas Doctors are seeing the light!

Many doctors and health care providers in Texas are seeing the light concerning the empire and health care. With increasing numbers, more are pulling out of Medicaid. Some health care providers report that besides the low payment that Medicaid allows, they often are behind in reimbursing the providers. One provider I talked with pulled out when Medicaid was two years behind in paying them. If this is how they treat the providers before full implementation of Obamacare, can you imagine what it will be like when it hits full force?

The quality of care is already dropping. Health care is NOT a right, it is a service that functions best when the government is not involved.

Best Regards,

The BP disaster: Evacuations?

The BP/Gulf of Mexico disaster is a mess. The oil spill poses a major threat to all of the gulf coast Southern States. Regardless of what caused the blast, the response of the empire to the disaster threatens all the Southern States in terms of loss of liberty, threats to economic health and threats to our physical health.

Mac Slavo wrote a thought provoking post on the matter. There are also reports of respiratory problems being experienced by workers and those living along the coast. Some reports of methane gas exposure in some communities in Alabama are also being reported. There have even been rumors of plans for forced evacuations. This would mean that the empire is using the situation to strong arm many Southrons into other locations due to their ineptness in responding to and containing the spill. There is also talk of evacuations in Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana as well. I do not know if these are rumors or actual plans. As more information surfaces, I will pass on what I know.

Among the extremely odd things are the large military presence in the areas impacted, the loss of freedom of the press in reporting on the situation.

One observation I have made is how the empire puts on a show for visitors, yet scales back its efforts when they are not being watched. If this is so, it may be a symptom that the empire is going broke. General George Patton made similar observations on Nazi German supplies as they were experiencing gasoline shortages. It could be that the economic free wheeling is catching up to the empire and the South is paying for it.

The people of Texas and the South need your prayers regarding wisdom and how to deal with these challenges.

Following the Constitution is illegal in Oklahoma and other government created problems

Although the United States Constitution specifies the importance of a “well armed and well regulated militia”, it does not mean much in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma house and senate have passed bills making membership or recruiting for such groups a crime. They have gone so far as to associate militia members with gang recruitment. So at this time, if one joins a militia, which is allowed under the Constitution, they are breaking the law in Oklahoma.

I guess if the regime ignores the Constitution enough, then states like Oklahoma make following it a criminal act. This is just another in the latest parade of wrong headed solutions and further evidence that government is not the solution, but rather the problem. Although the name of Timothy McVeigh was touted by those pushing the measure, they forgot that the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) knew he was up to something, but did not stop it. The SPLC was working with the federal government in setting up a sting operation. The feds and SPLC were working together on this. In courts, they would call it a conspiracy or ‘organized crime’, but if you own the judges, they will not say anything about such a conspiracy. The failure to warn is a crime in some state, but apparently not in Oklahoma.

Since they (the SPLC and the empire) were really part of the problem, why not outlaw membership or support of a group that has known and proven connections with Oklahoma City? It would be too logical to outlaw those directly associated with the act. Instead they want to prevent membership in groups that could prevent such actions. The logic of the Oklahoma legislature is beyond words.

Another shining example is Congressman Henry Waxman’s slipping in an obscure anti-supplement measure into the Wall Street “Reform” Bill. The measure increases government control of the supplement industry. Once again government takes away freedoms, when it should be expanding them. By his covert move of slipping in the distasteful measure in another bill, it could be passed on the momentum of the other. Such maneuvers are common in the imperial city. What a bill is labeled is often a far cry from what it actually contains.

Legislation is too dangerous to be trusted to politicians, whether in Oklahoma or the imperial city. These bozos prove time and time again that they can not be trusted with such dangerous power. If the common man spent like Congress and behaved like they do, that person would be locked up.

These are the latest examples of the assault on freedoms currently underway. In Oklahoma, you have lost the freedom of association, assembly and militia membership. Across the nation, the freedom to purchase diet supplements and make health care decisions is being eroded even as you read this.

Instead of an out-of-control government, how about leaving the Union? How about having a legislature that is accountable to the people?

What will you sell out for?

In the latest public relations gimmick, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) is launching a contest. In this contest, contestants are urged to create videos concerning why federal regulations are good and how ordinary citizens can become more involved in making regulations. If the citizens held to the Constitution, they would realize that what is best for them is to oppose all federal regulation which usurps their sovereignty. Instead of making videos as to why EPA rules are good, they should be making videos opposing ANY federal regulations. The EPA has wrecked many lives through their running roughshod over citizens. Here in Texas, there are cases where homeowners have been denied the freedom to use their property as they wish due to EPA rules. They can not bring in dirt, build or modify their property.

The contest is an insult to those that have suffered under the jackboot thuggery of the EPA and its policies. The current price for the souls who sell out is $2,500. That paltry amount pales in comparison with the millions in fines that have been unjustly levied against homeowners who the empire judges to be out of compliance with their regulations. Rather than support them, they need to be opposed.

Remember that these are the people who have told that public that second hand smoke causes cancer, that prompted the changes and almost removal of asthma inhalers, and illegally removing items from public dockets. Here in Texas, the EPA is saying that the naturally occurring carbon dioxide is a threat to the public health and causes global warming. They are the people who want to tax cow flatulates! Now that same agency wants to have a contest encouraging people to follow their lame policies and wrong-headed science.

IF the empire abided by the Constitution, then all the powers not given explicitly to the federal government would be in the hands of the States and people not in the hands of people who can not handle science or scientific findings responsibly.

It remains to be seen how many people will sell out for this absuedity.

Beware the False Alternative!

Beware the False Alternative!

Thomas Moore
h
Well, they went and did it, despite all the hand-wringing, threats, blogs, demonstrations, name-calling, broken windows, and general political mayhem. Congress has delivered to President Obama his so-called health care bill, although bitterly opposed by more than half the American people. In the House of Representatives, where the final battle was fought, every Republican voted against it. We have to give them credit where it’s due.

But, it seems to me they’re patting themselves on the back a little too warmly. You can almost hear the Republicans chortling with glee in the halls of Congress. Evidently they believe their vote against ObamaCare will restore a Republican majority in the next election. Maybe it will. The anger of the American people over this “law” and the corrupt way it was passed is intense. Perhaps the GOP will be able to ride the wave of outrage back into control of Congress, and possibly the White House in 2012. So we must ask ourselves — can we depend on the GOP to set things to rights if and when they return to power? Recent history offers a resounding “No!” We need to beware the false alternative of the Republican Party. The GOP is not a solution to out-of-control gangster government. In fact, having seen it up close and personal and from the inside, I have to tell you that the GOP is not fundamentally different from the Democrats.

Now, hold on there, you say. Isn’t the Republican Party the conservative party? And since most Southerners are conservative, isn’t the GOP the proper home for us?

It’s true that most Southerners are conservative-minded, by which I mean they have a predisposition or mindset that looks more or less like the following:

The Universe is governed by God or a transcendent and intelligible moral order.

An innate human need is to be rooted — in family and place, custom and tradition.

Hierarchy of talents and abilities is natural. Man is born equal only in a moral sense, and only a repressive and unjust society can enforce total equality.

The right to property is a key element of human freedom, but true freedom embraces moral duties and responsibilities as well as rights.

Because we are fallen beings, there must be some form of restraint on our passions, something we loosely define as government.

Good government includes family and religion as co-equals to civil government or the state. Civil government must be diffuse, sub-divided, and devolved to the local community. The state must be strictly limited to powers that are few and enumerated. The best government is that which governs least.

This set of propositions probably describes you, or comes close if you’re a Southerner. Let’s call it “little-c” conservatism. But I’ve got news. It doesn’t come close to describing “big-C” Conservatism; that is, today’s institutional Conservatism of the Washington Beltway — the think tanks, foundations, national publications, and especially the Neo-Conservative Establishment, which has co-opted almost all other conservative enterprises with its vast sums of money.
The character of little-c conservatism has even less relation to the Republican Party as an institution. It’s true that some individual Republicans differ on key points with the Democrats and the Left. But the difference is not enough to make a difference. The institutional link between the GOP and true conservatism is illusory, and to the extent it exists at all, it’s based on political opportunism, not conviction or principle.

Anyone who has eyes to see and ears to hear knows we don’t have a two-party political system in America; we have a one-party system. That one party is the Establishment party, the party of the corporation-dominated, collectivist, centralised state. Republicans and Democrats aren’t genuine philosophical opponents. They’re simply two like-minded gangs – the Crips and the Bloods — fighting over the spoils. They contend not for principle but for control of the coercive powers of the state, through which our gangster politicians, their corporate masters, and the big money cartel enrich themselves by plundering us.

I’ll give this to the Democratic insiders; they generally make no pretense to being other than what they are (and what we know them to be): liars, thieves, charlatans, demagogues, and despots. But we’re confused about Republicans because they claim to be something better, even though in the ways that matter most, the GOP behaves almost the same as the Democrats. In fact, when it comes to looting the taxpayer on behalf of the banks and corporations, Republicans are the past masters. Let’s not forget that the bailouts of AIG and the big banks, TARP, and the greatest mass plunder in history started under George Bush and his Secretary of Wall Street, Hank Paulson. Seen in this light, Republicans actually do more harm than Democrats because they operate under the false colors of individual liberty, limited government, and fiscal responsibility, keeping us deluded and therefore trapped. If the GOP and its Conservative myrmidons observe these principles at all, it’s only when they are out of power.

Today’s Conservatives are little more than champions of the status quo. In practical political terms, this means they are half of the equation that Totalitarian Collectivists have used successfully to advance their program. This is the dialectic, the mechanism for steady revolution advocated by Karl Marx and by his most successful Western disciple, the Italian Communist Antonio Gramschi; and refined for deployment in the U.S. by President Obama’s mentor, Communist Saul Alinsky, in his famous “Rules for Radicals.”

The dialectical revolution works like this. “Progressives,” Marxist-Socialists, or Totalitarian Collectivists launch an attack on a targeted tradition, custom, or settled political idea. This aggressive revolutionary force is called the thesis, and its target is called the antithesis. These two ideas clash and interact to produce a new state of affairs called the synthesis. And note — the synthesis doesn’t always represent equal parts of the two clashing ideas that produced it. It’s an entirely new thing, and it will be more like whatever “parent” idea was most effective in the interaction. In the case of the U.S. and the West this has always meant intensifying forms of statism and collectivism.

By defending the current status quo instead of timeless principles, all the GOP and Conservatives accomplish is to anchor one pole of the dialectic, ceding the initiative to our mortal enemies. And so the cycle keeps repeating itself. Yesterday’s synthesis becomes today’s antithesis. Even in the act of “winning” (as they falsely believe), Conservatives are co-opted into maintaining the last synthesis which has become the new status quo. The enemy takes up a new position even further to the left as their new thesis. The dialectic spins again, producing a new outcome – even more statism, collectivism, and secular humanism than before. Thus the Totalitarian Collectivists drag us step by step toward their utopian paradise, which turns out to be Hell on earth.

One of our greatest Southern minds, Robert L. Dabney, noted theologian and Stonewall Jackson’s chief of staff, explained it clearly and prophetically 150 years ago: “Conservatism’s history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution, to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward to perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt hath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It tends to risk nothing serious for the sake of truth.”

Well then, what do we do? When given only false alternatives, how do we choose rightly?

A good place to start is to remember that “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” Above all, we have to have truth; and this takes courage and vision, for the truth that makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear. But without truth, we remain lost in the murk and mire.

Second and like unto the first, we have to stop being fools, like the one spoken of in Proverbs 26:11: “As a dog returneth to his own vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.” Because of the abuses, outrages, crimes, and follies of the George W. Bush Administration, lovers of liberty have begun to vomit up the GOP and its false Conservatism. Let us not, despite the worse abuses, outrages, crimes, and follies of the Obama Administration, return to the lies and self-delusion we have spewed forth. Third, realize that if they can keep us asking the wrong questions, then they don’t have to worry about the answers. So let’s start asking the right questions, especially this one: what have today’s Conservatives actually conserved? Liberty? The principle of limited government? Sound money? Secure borders? Morality in government? The Constitution? Free-market health care? In John Wayne’s immortal words, “Not hardly!” What they conserve at all costs is their access to power, their perks, and their privileges — just like the Democrats. They conserve the status quo of unlimited, unaccountable government, but they have never rolled it back, nor will they ever. Fourth, accept that the power and credibility of the Bushites, Neo-Cons, GOP Establishment, and Beltway Conservatives have to be broken first, before we can attack the “deep enemy” of Totalitarian Collectivists. This is crucial because these apostles of the false alternative keep us deluded by lies and mired in the Marxist dialectic. They trap good Southern people, who ought to know better, in the service of a corrupt and lawless Regime, when by temperament and mindset these real conservatives ought to be on the side of Southern liberty.

Fifth, we need to get past the “lesser of two evils.” There’s no question that Obama and his Marxist minions are the rottenest gang to ever occupy the corridors of power in Washington. But the alternative to them has got to be something genuine. The lesser-of-two-evils argument is the false alternative in its most distilled and concentrated form. It’s a version of the proverbial frog in the pot — slowly heating the water under the frog until he’s cooked. Wouldn’t it be better to let evil reveal itself fully and with clarity, alerting us while we still have the time and strength to leap out of the fatal trap and counter-attack? No, it may be a paradox hard for some to understand, but choosing the lesser of two evils is actually the worst evil.

I’m not suggesting we should never vote for someone on the Republican ticket. After all, some of our best people are running as Republicans — Ray McBerry (GA), Judge Roy Moore (AL), Jim Holt (AR), and Rand Paul (KY). One of our own SNC Delegates from Arkansas, Loy Mauch, is running for the State legislature as a Republican. Ken Cuccinelli, a traditionalist, liberty-loving conservative, was recently elected Republican attorney general of Virginia. They are fully deserving of our support. But these folks stand out precisely because they’re exceptions, rebels against the GOP Establishment, which has tried to sabotage them.

I can’t speak for the others; but I know Ray McBerry personally, and I think it would be accurate to say that he’s running as a Republican, not because he is a Republican. This is an important distinction, one understood by all of these fine men. They’re seeking office from a sense of urgent calling and public duty, and they’ve concluded the GOP ticket is the most likely avenue to success. But they also understand the danger of the false alternative. They’ve made a pragmatic decision, but I think they also know this: as long as well-meaning, traditionalist, patriotic Southerners look to the Republican Party as the principal means of our deliverance, our People will remain snared in delusion and futility and under the boot of the Federal leviathan.

In conclusion, never automatically give a Republican the benefit of the doubt. Never assume he’s the right choice simply because he’s a Republican, or that he’s even what he claims to be. He (or she, especially if it’s Sarah Palin) should be subjected to the same rigorous scrutiny and skepticism we apply to Democrats. Make sure the person you vote for, regardless of Party, will courageously stand against tyranny and for liberty. In today’s context, that means opposing the central state, not simply offering to run it more efficiently. Don’t be fooled by the insincere “conservative” protestations of the Republican empty suits. As Shakespeare said, “The empty vessel makes the loudest sound.”

Bankruptcy, Redistribution of Wealth or Reparations?

The Usurper has boldly proclaimed that his healthcare plan was needed to keep the nation from going bankrupt. It is clear that the Usurper attended school somewhere else. For a nation to spend more money and take on more give away programs in order to avoid bankruptcy does not make sense. Bankruptcy occurs when your financial output exceeds your input or when you are seeking legal protection from damaging law suits. It is beyond me how spending MORE money and making commitments to spend MORE money during a time when the empire is in debt is not a way to escape bankruptcy. I must recall that he was educated in Indonesia and attended schools in Chicago, where going bust and then being bailed out by the fedgov was an acceptable practice. Perhaps it works for Chicago and Indonesia, but it is bad policy for financial health of the empire.

Although the Usurper claims it was to avoid bankruptcy, Senator Max Baucus claimed it was about redistribution of wealth.

It would be nice if they made up their minds. Is the health care about redistribution of wealth (socialism/communism), reparations, or to avoid bankruptcy? With the many different spins generated it is confusing.

It has also been said it was about creating jobs. Somewhere along the way, patient care and respect for the Constitution were left behind in these excuses for the government take over of the health care industry.

“I don’t worry about the Constitution”

The marks of a Statesman have changed drastically since the days of Clay, Calhoun and Webster. In those days, the Constitution was everything. Being able to pass good laws was important. Now we have such people as Congressman Phil Hare of Illinois, who stated “I don’t worry about the Constitution” when asked about the Constitutional basis for the recent health care legislation. At least Hare has the decency to respond to his constituency, unlike CONgressman Lloyd Doggett who often ignores those who do not agree with him on such matters. Doggett does not realise that his views are ‘out of touch’ with the people of Texas. Texas does not need Doggett, Gene Green, Sheila Jackson-Lee or some of the others who follow the democratic party line without question. They have foisted an illegal law upon the people of Texas and the South. It is clear that they do not care about the Constitution, it is also doubtful that they have read the bill and all it contains in terms o treatment for sex offenders (who will receive free viagra), etc.

It is interesting to see the regional breakdown of the vote:

Of the four census regions, the South was the only one to vote against the federal takeover of medicine. The South (the Confederacy plus Kentucky and Oklahoma) voted 71 per cent against the bill; the Northeast 75 per cent in favour; the West 61 per cent aye; and the Midwest divided evenly.

Every Southern State voted a majority negative. The no vote included 19 Democrats from the South. If you remove the four sparsely populated Plains States of the western Midwest, the Midwest total moves to a majority in favour of ObamaCare, even allowing for the no-vote of the Southern border State Missouri.

Here are the representatives from Texas who sold us out:

Henry Cuellar (Laredo) Y

Lloyd Doggett (Austin) Y

Gonzalez (San Antonio) Y

Al Green (Houston) Y

Gene Green (Houston) Y

Ruben Hinojosa (Mercedes) Y

Sheila Jackson-Lee (Houston) Y

Eddie Bernice Johnson (Dallas) Y

Ortiz (Corpus Christi) Y

Unconstitutional Actions!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
24 March 2010

Yesterday President Obama acted in violation of his oath of office by deliberately disobeying the Constitution of the United States.

Article I, Section 7, Paragraph two of the Constitution states. “Every bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it becomes a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; if he approve he shall sign it.”

The President cannot sign any bill into law which has not passed both houses of Congress. The bill passed by the House on Sunday was not the same legislation passed by the Senate in December. Reconciliation of the two bills must be done first. Despite the celebration at the White House yesterday, no “Health Care Reform” can legally be placed on the books.

Because the President and numerous members of Congress have conspired together to subvert the Constitution of the United Stated, they all stand in violation of their oaths of office.

Regardless of personal opinion on the specific legislation in question, the President and numerous members ofCongress are acting as tyrants, in a manner completely contrary tothe legitiamte function and duties of their respective offices.

The Tennessee League of the South calls upon the Tennessee delegation to the House of Representatives to immediately file a Bill of Impeachment on President Obama. To do less is to implicitly agree with his unlawful act. This tyranical seizure of power has only been equalled by the likes of Lenin and Hitler.

The Tennessee League of the South also calls upon the legislature of Tennessee to immediately begin the process of calling either for a popular vote for secession or for the formation of a converntion to consider the question of secession from the unruly government in Washington, D.C.

For more information, call David O Jones, Chairman 931 593-2881 or 615 594-2918

(ed. I included a video of Representative John Dingle admitting that the health care is about gaining “Control of the People”).

We wont get fooled again-A Note from North Carolina

“We Won’t Get Fooled Again”

“Say what you will about past Republican Party indiscretions (and there have been many), but not a single Republican voted for this atrocity. In fact, Republicans led a courageous effort to thwart the authoritarian Democrats while offering common-sense alternatives that actually would help lower

healthcare costs.” Peter Heck, Naïve Indiana Columnist

Come On, “Common-Sense Alternatives”…from the Republicans?

If they were even vaguely familiar with the United States Constitution, the Republican leadership would have pointed out that the document is silent

on this issue and gives the federal agent of the States absolutely no authority whatsoever to meddle in the private medical care of free citizens of the

various States. None. Nada.

The Socialist-Democrat Party Health Care Reform act has passed the US House as expected, but let’s keep in mind that the Republican Party would have voted for it had they anything to gain from supporting “this atrocity.” It should not be forgotten that Bush II of the Republican Party initiated the auto industry bailout, plunged this country into unwinnable wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and saddled the US taxpayers with ever more trillions of dollars of debt. Being out of power, the Republicans are talking like conservatives again who are “highly familiar” with the Founders’ principles; next we’ll probably hear of Sarah Palin carrying the 10th Amendment around in her purse ala Bob Dole.

As The Who sang many years ago: “Meet the New Boss—Same as the Old Boss.”
