What is Sheila Jackson-Lee up to?

In a recent news article, it was reported that CONgress Critter Sheila Jackson-Lee wants working men and women to have unemployment benefits as well. Given that she is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Yale, and the fact that she is still in office indicates that despite her antics that she has some smarts. On the surface this latest episode looks like she is loosing it. After reading the article and thinking through her actions, I realized that this is nothing more than a backdoor way into ‘redistribution of wealth’ which is a major socialist goal. (Note: She and Eddie Bernice Johnson are known for their socialist ploys and policies).

Any way that you slice it, she is just wanting go give away more of your money. She wants to see to it that MORE people start feeling entitled to YOUR money. Let that sink in. She thinks that the employed and unemployed are each entitled to MORE of your money.

If this is the mindset of the people of the 18th Texas Congressional District, we have problems. She is a threat to you economically and politically.

Just too coincidental?

In reading through the news, I noticed that the day after JPMorgan sells its building, including its gold vault to a Chinese company (Fosun), that JPMorgan announces that it reaches a $13 Billion settlement with the Department of Justice. Part of the DOJ was investigating the bank for their practices in Asia. Doesn’t it seem odd that the DOJ is investigating a bank for things they are doing in other countries which are under other nations jurisdictions? I mention this co-incidental timing since China was pressuring the empire concerning debt payment. The weird timing of these two incidents strikes me as odd. It almost seems like a quid pro quo rather than two separate and incidents, one being legal and one being business. but what do I know, the empire considers Southrons and Texans uniformed and flyover country. How many of us will see the two stories and even imagine a connection between them or (horrors) connections with the empire’s debt to China. The whole thing looks suspicious. Is the DOJ now working for Chinese concerns? Who knows. With Manhattan real estate being as expensive as it is and JPMorgan having lots of funds, I have my doubts that they sold just because it was a good deal, but …what do I know?

Too often we just read the news and do not connect the dots there in front of us. You may want to give it a try. The connections often reveal some surprising insights.

Learning about the census from the Nashville Agrarians

The empire has recently been sending out various types of census. These include business census, agriculture census and so forth. To encourage compliance with these census forms, they are including threats and fines. By calling their request for numbering things a “census”, the empire makes it more official, since the Constitution allows for a census once every ten years. Calling the requests for information a census is another word game. What the empire is really after is an inventory. They are also wanting to burden you with compiling and reporting the inventory. By having you do the work, it saves time and effort.

You may want to ask “Why?” they would such an inventory. Andrew Nelson Lytle answered this question in his essay “The Hind Tit”. He said “The only reason to number them is to turn them into cash”. He and the other Nashville Agrarians knew that when the government starts counting things, they are up to no good. They are making an inventory to turn into cash (or use as collateral). This is made clear by the recent agricultural census taking going on at this time. The agricultural census amounts to nothing more than the USDA compiling a database (e.g. inventory). When things are inventoried, someone plans on turning them into cash, plain and simple. Lytle also recommended that Southrons need to “Make those who rule the country bear the burdens of government” and provides suggestions for doing so. It would behoove us to reread “I’ll Take My Stand” and learn the lessons they have to teach us.

Instead of making governments job easier, we need a government that does not meddle in the activities of its citizens.

The Sequester scare in Texas

The empire is up to its same old political tricks. News (from NBC News) reports are being presented that Texas schools may loose $334 million in federal funding. The same kind scare occurred in recent years when CONgress Critter, Lloyd Doggett put his poison pill in the federal funding of Texas schools to the tune of $830 million dollars. Doggett, a former Texas State legislator knew that his poison pill would have been in violation of Texas laws. Doggett wanted to put Governor Perry in a bad light with his poison pill. Many Texans forget the past and do not recall this incident. When you put pencil to paper, $334 million is a lot less than $830 million dollars. Just think of the effect of the sequester on education as the Lloyd Doggett poison pill lite. The big difference in this case is that the head of the regime is using his being forced to make cuts to ‘take his toys and go home’. Rather than man up, policies are put in place with the intention of making others look bad and turning the public opinion against the Republicans.

In my mind, the Congress should exercise their power and cut the salaries to federal judge and executive branch agencies, like the EPA. Without funds, they would slow down and become more responsive to the people. Bear in mind that the cuts are reductions in raises, which reduce the amount of growth, not a true cutting of services. The politicians are exaggerating the impact so as to increase the emotional pain of the sequester.

Cuts needed to be made. Before you buy into the education lobby’s scare tactics as they run around like a chicken with their head cut off, remember that Lloyd Doggett and his Demokratic cohorts wanted to do more damage to Texas in terms of more than double the amount in question with the sequester. At least the Republicans have made some cuts, unlike their counterparts.

So rather than fall for the hype, remember your history and how this hype happens on a regular cyclical basis.

Instead of cyclical political hype, we needs principled statesmen.

How would independence help?

Having an independent Texas will help your lives in many ways. Government will be more accountable to the voters at all levels of government. The local issues will be addressed on the local level. This means that the local school district will decide what needs to be taught and what the children need rather than Washington bureaucrats or some teacher’s union. Your sons and daughters would not be going off to Afghanistan, Mali or Iraq fighting in a war whose purpose changes on a weekly basis. Texas would also have social policies that fit our culture rather than having an alien culture and values imposed on us. That means issues like abortion, gun control, and legalization of drugs will be decided by Texans. It means that our access to raw milk, natural health remedies and vitamins will be handled here in Texas rather than shaped by a government agency controlled by big pharmaceutical firms.

Financially, we would not be under all the international agreements that the United States is. We would make decisions based on what is best for Texas when it comes to trade and economic treaties. We would not have to follow unfunded mandates that currently drains school districts and cities of funds that are needed elsewhere.

Texas prisons would be handled by Texas rather than controlled by federal judges.

Texas could protect its own borders, rather than have to kow-tow to Washington’s latest whims and priorities. Instead of making unfounded issues like global warming and controlling pirated movies a priority, those items important to Texas like having safe borders would be the focus of border law enforcement.

Sure, there would still be differences of opinion on what is best in each community, yet these would be based on what the needs of ‘we the people of Texas’ rather than using one size fits all needs forced upon us that are not in keeping with our values and priorities.

Would independence help? Yes, without a doubt.

Are you aware that we are at war?

The present debates over Constitutional freedoms has brought many things to light. One of those items is that corporations are now being used as weapons against us. Consider how Wal-Mart, Jax Mercantile and Dick’s Sporting Goods have changed their policies regarding guns, removing some products from their stores after the Sandy Hook incident. Companies like Jax Mercantile (it’s in Colorado, so go figure) has further decided on no longer offering high capacity magazines for sale as well. Even ebay has joined in the craze by not allowing sellers to offer high capacity magazines for sale. The latest is Bank of America choosing not to allow its cards be used for purchases of guns or ammunition. Even ‘Cheaper Than Dirt’ suspended its online gun and ammo sales for a period of time.

Wake up! None of these products are illegal (in most States). What is happening is that companies are being used as weapons against you and your access to products. There is a war on against you , your freedoms and your values. When you wake up to the fact that Wal-Mart, Bank of America and Dick’s Sporting Goods are NOT your friends you will be better for it. Those companies take money from you and then use it against you and your freedoms. I have not patronized these stores for years and it is in your best interest to not do so either. Years ago, Wal-Mart emphasized products made in America. Those days are gone. These days, they do not even support the values of Americans, even though they still like to use the Empire’s flag on its logos and trucks.

These companies are being used as weapons against us. They are choosing to be the tools of freedom-hating control freaks rather than serve the communities they are in.

Instead of supporting those who are being used as weapons against you, spend your money elsewhere.

Orwell warned us about Shiela Jackson Lee

The British writer George Orwell was giving us a warning when he penned, “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.” In his book 1984, he pointed out how language would be twisted around by Big Brother. What was a nightmare to Orwell is here today. In the latest episode, we have Texas CONgress Critter, of the 18th Texas Congressional District, telling us that “entitlements are earned”. Her speech is worth listening to in terms of how she encourages the speaker not to tell the people that social security is insolvent and that the empire is “on the upswing’. This woman’s wagon is missing a few wheels.

She also points out that “entitlements are not handouts”. If they are not hand outs, I have to wonder how they were earned other than by completing the paperwork involved.

As Southrons, we need to be aware of demagogs such as this CONgress Critter and the distortions they perform. They lead the people to believe something that is not true. In her case, it is no wonder, since she is a New York born lawyer. She wants the people to believe that they earn their entitlements, she wants them to believe that social security is solvent, she wants them to believe that the empire is in good financial shape. She wants the people to believe that Bill Clinton left the Treasury Department with a 5.7 TRILLION surplus. Even the Treasury Department’s numbers do not agree with her claims, but hey…she’s a lawyer. You will have to ‘prove’ that she is wrong.

Instead of wrong-headed politicians leading the people astray, we need honesty.

Signs of financial hurting:Currency Debasement

The Treasury Department has announced that it will change what pennies and nickels are made of. As the empire expands its reach, they are hurting financially. The change in what coins are made of is a CURRENCY DEBASEMENT. The empire is changing the value of your coins right in front of you. That means that the nickels and pennies in your pocket now are worth more than they will be when the 2013 coins come out, by almost double. Most of the time, the empire does its currency debasement behind your back. This one is taking place right in front of you. Your coins will drop in value even more. One of the things I have noticed with many foreign coins is that they feel cheap. Now the coins of the empire will join those other cheap feeling coins as they sell us out even more.

Instead of currency debasement, we need a government that takes steps to improve our economic situation.

Could the empire use an extra 4 billion?

It never ceases to amaze me how the empire, in its greed for MORE manages shooting itself in the foot. The latest faux-pax is the use of the child tax credits by illegal immigrants. The government looses at least 4 billion a year due to this loophole. Having to pay taxes is anger producing enough, yet discovering that billions are going to illegal immigrants is blood pressure raising. What makes matters worse is that the IRS is claiming that it would be too much trouble to verify that the children claimed are theirs or that those tax credits are going to children in the United States. The powers that be claim that the IRS was made aware of this loophole and problem long ago, and that this abuse continues. If I had a 4 billion dollar hole in my pocket, you can rest assured it would be fixed. This is just another symptom of over-reach by the empire.

The Confederate Constitution would have never allowed for such foolishness. Instead of allowing 4 billion to be paid out yearly rather than verify things, we need sanity.

The Empire’s Banks Long Reach

Leaders (Jose Manuel Brassco) in the EU are now blaming the empire and its banks for their latest Eurozone meltdown. Although most subjects will dismiss the story as the Europeans complaining, recall that prior to its fall, Enron held seminars on financial affairs that were widely attended. Recall also the it was the Congress that demanded that the banks make loans to populations that were not credit worthy. Whether the meltdown goes back to the teachings of Enron or the policies driven by Congress or both, the reality is that destruction of the empire is wide spread.

So what does this mean to us as Southrons? Plenty. First, you may need to realize that some of those European leaders often see the empire for what it is. They have not been blinded by the Final Four, March Madness or the Superbowl. They keep track of events and policies, unlike many in America. Keep in mind that the financial policies of FINCEN often dictate policies to the banks in other nations. It is arrogant and an over-reach of power. We need to not dismiss such stories a complaining, but rather listen for the early warnings they are giving us. Oftentimes the policies implemented in Europe are the testing grounds for what will be done by the empire.

We need to forsee the dangers and take action.
