The future of Congress is in Texas

With the latest census, Texas has gained four new CONgressional seats. With the addition of those seats, there has been the usual battle over how the districts will be drawn and who they will favor. In previous generations, Texas had at-large representatives until things could be ironed out. That system worked and some good CONgressmen were elected to office.

Every ten years, there has been major battles over those districts. In the previous redistricting battle, the Travis County District Attorney went after Tom DeLay and removed him from power, leaving his district in shambles and easy pickings for the democrats, who were unable to hold it. When the democrats redrew the districts, there were fewer battles, since they were running the State at that time. Gone are the days when the democrats in Texas stood for Biblical values and common sense. When the democratic party became radicalized, the whole focus changed into a big government push for socialism and spending other people’s money. The Republicans also spend other people’s money, but rather than a socialist nanny state, they have one run by big business conglomerates.

The current situation is that a three judge panel is battling with the Texas Attorney General and the GOP in the drawing of those four new districts. These districts are important in that they could change the balance of power in the Imperial City. The battle over how the districts are drawn is not being decided by people elected by Texans. It is being decided by appointed bureaucrats. Since they are appointed, it is likely that they will make their decisions in favor of the illegitimate powers that be, since they want to keep their positions and not be held accountable to the voters. If they were accountable, we would see some better decision making.

The decisions made in Texas will determine the direction of the empire for years to come. Texas needs your prayers and work.

Liberty for Texas!
