The ‘majority’ is at it again! at Texas League of the South

The socialists are at it again. The latest installment is the formation of the “Patriot Majority“. Although the group boasts the lofty goals of

“Patriot Majority believes it is our patriotic duty as Americans to pursue new policies that strengthen our national security, boost the economy, achieve energy independence, make health care affordable, provide quality education and protect public safety.”

The problem is that they want government to be the tool/method of accomplishing these goals. They support bigger government that restricts freedoms, rather than the original idea of the founding fathers to use laws in order to expand liberties.

The communists of Russia called themselves Bolsheviks (majority) even though they were the smallest political party. By using the label ‘majority’, they fooled the masses into thinking that they were larger than they actually were. In a similar fashion, the patriot majority use the label ‘majority’ to fool the masses again. From a Southron perpsective they are neither ‘patriots’ (as defined by being loyal to the ideas and values of the founding fathers) nor are they a ‘majority’.

True patriots would:

1) Be familiar with the Founding Documents
2) Know that the States existed prior to the national government and formed the national government
3) Want government to expand and protect our liberties
4) Seek self-reliance rather than a dependence on government
5) Want the smallest government necessary
6) Resist unlawful policies
7) Pray for a revival through the States
8 ) Would place loyalty to their State before loyalty to the Union. (On this note, I have seen text books that condemn the placing of loyalty to State above that of the Union).
9) View a federal government job as degrading, since you are having to live off of others.

Since I do not see the ‘Patriot Majority” adhering to any of these, I do not consider them patriot in any sense of the word.
