Arrogance is spelled P-E-L-O-S-I

The extent that power hungry people go is always astounding. In ancient history, there were people like Queen Jezebel and Queen Athalia. Jezebel did not care who she killed to get her way. Athaliah killed her own grandchildren in order to hold on to the power of the throne.

In Nancy Pelosi, we have our own modern day Jezebel and Athalia combined. She has shown disregard for President Obama’s promise to post any legislation five days before the votes. Pelosi often drafts legislation without CONgress critters, much less the public ever seeing it. She refuses to allow other opinions on any policy decisions. There is no legitimate opinion but hers. She is also determined to have Obamacare pass no matter who she has to threaten, lie to or coerce. With all her Jezebel-like determination, she is determined to get her health care bill passed. Like Queen Athalia, she has no regard of life and wants the taxpayers to underwrite abortion and other evils. She also shows no regard for who pays the bill for her partying and indulgence in political mayhem. Her jaunt to Copenhagen with her ‘close’ associates costs the taxpayer a million dollars. This is during a time when many are loosing their jobs.

Here in Texas, when times were hard, Governor Pendleton Murrah shunned the extravagant inauguaration parties preferring something low-key and taking the oath of office in a home spun suit. Pelosi could learn from the example of Murrah in her actions.

Unconstitutional Propositions

In doing some further pondering on the SOTU, the regime is advocating several policies that are unconstitutional. It is as if they are saying “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead” (which originated with a Yankee cramming stuff down the throats of Southrons in the first place).

Even though the Constitution is specific on what powers it allows for the central government, the regime is encroaching way beyond those limits. James Madison, author of our Constitution, wrote, “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.”

In his speech, Obama mentioned “freedom” only once, with absolutely no references to liberty.
This is a far cry from the founding fathers.

1. The power to take over and regulate the economy.

2. The power to take over and completely regulate our national health care system. (Note: the proposals from both parties lack constitutional authority. They are both illegal). Obama even went so far as to state that the American people are just not smart enough to support his illegal agenda: “I take my share of the blame for not explaining it more clearly to the American people.” (in other words we are not smart enough to know what is good for us). Like many issues, they attribute it to education, rather than acknowledge it is bad policy or unconstitutional, or immoral. When such roadblocks occur, they repeat their message a little louder and a little slower. Like much of what the Obama regime says, he has it totally backwards. We do understand the health care, that is why we oppose it. We see what it will do and don’t like what we see. He has made it clear-and we don’t want any of what he is selling.

3. The power to further regulate and tax the production of CO2 and energy. This is clearly outside of the scope of authority given to them and is further based on bad and misleading science.

State of the Union?

The head of the regime gave his State of the Union speech last night. It was clear from his speech that he does not have a clue as to the true ‘State of the Union’ and the issues that people are concerned about. Yes he made sure to mention what the polls say are important, but little was said about how the people have lost confidence in government and are fed up with this regime forcing things upon the citizenry. The speech also had policies based on blatant lies.

The tone used by the Usurper was undignified to say the least. Threatening the Senate and bad mouthing the Supreme Court were not good moves. Here he is dependent on them to maintain his office and he turns around and attacks them. His actions show either a lack of awareness of such basic issues or that he is so narcissistic that he sees nothing wrong with his actions. I suspect that he is narcissistic. His rantings were more akin to Chavez or Castro than to the statesmanship of a President. Bear in mind that the Senate and Supreme Court would be key players in deciding the legitimacy of his citizenship and address impeachment issues. He apparently does not recognize those as possibilities.

It is also sickening to see all the Obama zombies march in lock step in support of his policies. He could tell them “eat dirt” and they would all immediately do it without question and begin chanting “eating dirt is good for America. Obama want us to eat dirt”. Within a short amount of time, there would be pointy headed scientific panels with reports supporting the benefit of eating dirt. A movement would then sprout up about how eating dirt will save the planet.

Does his actions inspire leadership? Is the status of the States better than it was before he took office? Is the economic situation better since he took office? Is the nation a safer place since he took office? These are key questions in assessing his State of the Union speech (or in computer talk SOTU).

In a free South, the banks would not have intrusive federal controls, neither would the government take over industries. The people would be free to make choices themselves whether to succeed or fail. It would be their choices. There would be no government support or subsidy for mass murder whether in imperialistic wars or in support of abortion.

There would be enforcement of immigration laws, with immediate deportation. Private property would be respected, rather than seen as something else for the government to seize.

Kay Bailey Hutchinson:Look at what she does!

As we near election time, the political rhetoric resounds on the airwaves. One of the candidates for Governor, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson has shown the people of Texas what she stands for. She was one of those who voted AGAINST the filibuster. She could have stopped Obamacare cold, but NO-she had other plans. All the talk of how she would work and do all in her power to stop it and….she did not.

Her record speaks for itself. She rubber stamped many of the policies of the previous regime and has done little to support that values and interests of Texas. She supported and voted for the illegal invasion of Iraq. (Well, gee, the federal courts said that the Clinton’s regime’s balkan actions were illegal as well). The current death toll as of the posting was 4374 sons and daughters killed in the illegal war.

Kay also supports abortion. The death toll on that one since 1973 is at 55 MILLION. Despite the blood on her hands, she is actively seeking another government job. This time she wants the governorship of Texas. Her critics cite her wanting to overturn Roe v. Wade, but in the debates, she made it clear that she supports that subterfuge of a of a court case known as Roe v Wade. She says she wants my vote, so why hasn’t she answered the many letters I have sent to her?

She has taken stands against cap and trade, which is commendable, but given her track record, can we believe what she tells us?

Granted, every politician takes stands that someone does not like. In Hutchinson’s case, she has not stopped Obamacare. She has not stood for States Rights, she supports Roe v. Wade and she supported the Iraq War. Her decisions have been costly to Texas in terms of human life. She may have saved us some money in taxes and oppose toll roads, but compared to cost of human lives, it pales in comparison.

Vote your conscience and be informed on the issues.

Gun Control in Texas: The Manchola Incident

Texians have a wealth of wisdom in their history if they bother to draw on it. Bear in mind that Texas has the experience of being under the Spanish, Mexican and American political systems. Each of these systems has its own ways of doing things. One lesson from our history concerns the Mexican government and Don Raphael Manchola. Don Manchola declared a military emergency for Texas. By declaring a military emergency, he exercised considerably more power than normally. In the midst of this crisis, he insisted that all weapons held by the colonists and citizens needed to be turned over to the government (for safe keeping of course). He was there to protect them, they did not need to protect themselves, especially with the promises of the Constitution of 1824.

Manchola gave reassurances that the weapons would be returned to the colonists and citizens. When the crisis was declared over, he did return the weapons, although they had all been rendered inoperable.

What can we learn from this?

1. When the government wants us to turn over our weapons, they are up to no good.

2. Crises are used to initiate policies that would otherwise be resisted.

3. Government officials lie. They may call it half-lies, but the fact remains that they are not telling the public the whole truth.

4. When the military rulers over ride the civilian government, they are up to no good.

5. Do not trust the Constitution to protect you from military forces usurping their authority.

It is said that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Let us hope that Texians remember their history lessons of what happens when you ‘trust’ the government such as Don Manchola. Had the Texians remembered the Manchola incident, which occurred near Goliad, they may have been more cautious about trusting the government officials and their promises at Goliad in 1836. Those men ended up paying with their lives because they trusted what the government officials were telling them.

Study to show yourself approved…

Incremental changes-What do they lead up to?

Despite all the hype about American Idol (aptly named) and football, the land is currently in an economic depression. Even though there is talk of ‘recovery’, the reality is that more banks continue failing each week. Since the failures are spread out, the people often do not grasp what is going on. Although the regime inherited a debt of a trillion dollars, they have managed to expand it to 12 TRILLION. That is a massive amount of money. They have increased the debt beyond the comprehension of most people and they (democrats and socialists) want to increase it more. Effectively, their action makes us financial slaves.

Add to that the empire actively undertaking efforts at controlling the media, and you have a mess. With false information (propaganda) being broadcast, many will not realize that dangers that are currently afield.

There are also rumors of the potential of foreign troops on US soil. In this case, it is not Mexican forces that stray onto the sovereign soil of Texas, but talk of those from Russia or other nations from Europe. The possibility of such an event is a difficult one to imagine or stomach. Rest assured in that event, they will not take too kindly to Southrons and their ways. They know that the independent spirit of our people will not stand for such occupational troops. I can not vouch for the veracity of such reports, although the regime is not beyond such wackiness given disregard shown toward the Constitution, the rule of law, the Bible, tradition, or any other structure of sanity.

Although some may say that this (fereign troops on our soil) is nothing more than a ’scare’ tactic, recall that the Usurper actively wanted a ‘large’ youth corps that equaled the size of the military. The concern is what will that massive youth corps be used for. Even when the Nazi regime took over Austria, they implemented their policies incrementally so as to avoid alarming the population. We are in the midst of incremental change even now, with the implementation of the youth corps, takeover of the media, takeover of the banks, attempts at taking over health care systems, takeover of medical records, take over (nationalization) of the automotive industry, attempts at controlling the water ways, attempts at implementing the smart grid (i.e. take over of the energy and utilities delivery system) and other malfeasance.

Obama wants books banned

Although the left often makes ludicrous associations of the confederate flag with the National Socialist government of Germany, their efforts are nothing more than a straw man. It is a common ploy to ‘project’ ones issues onto the opposing faction. Those forces who are associated with liberty are often denigrated and made to appear as being opposed to liberty. In a glaring example of this, while the Obama regime argued its case before the Supreme Court regarding political speech, the blatantly called for the banning of books. They acknowledged that the government had the power to ban and wanted to ban some books. The regime is opposed to liberty, yet castigates others in order to cover their efforts. This regime, with its youth work camps, socialized medicine, hostile takeover of industries, imperialistic wars (Iraq, Afghanistan, takeover of Haiti), and other policies has done more to limit freedom than to expand it. The Obama regime and its policies have more in common with the totalitarian regime of Adolf Hitler than the public realizes.

Bear in mind that this administration recently worked to shut down gun shows in the Austin area as well. They hate guns, they hate free speech/liberty of the press, the encumber us with debt, they make us the laughing stock of the world with their apologies for actions that do not speak for the American people on. This regime is the enemy of liberty and freedom.

In a free South, there would be the liberty to have freedom of the press, when it comes to political thought. There would be freedom to bear arms, there would be freedom from the worry of the nation being invaded by immigrant hordes.

Thought Police!

A recent article in The Klaxon is a clear example of how law enforcement is no longer focused on keeping the peace, or enforcing laws, but has now shifted to thought enforcement. The author takes the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) report and makes the assumptive leap that since the list has hate groups, they must be terrorist groups. Like many in law enforcement and journalism, he is swallowing the PC Kool Aid rather than investigating. His technique is to assume guilt based on association and being on the SPLC list. Mind you that SPLC list is nothing more than a list of groups who do not tow the mainstream PC-media line. If you strongly believe in enforcing the border or immigration laws-your on the list. If you hold to Biblical teachings and speak out-your on the list, etc.

Here in Texas, the League is on the SPLC honor roll. Even though they place us on the roll, they do not place CAIR, which does have links to terrorist groups (Hamas) that blow things up and kill people. The last I checked, the CAIR related groups had blown up more people and property than all the other people on the list combined. Even though it is a double standard, the SPLC can do it because they are the SPLC and as long as non-thinkers swallow what the SPLC prints without investigating or thinking on their own, this is the kind of law enforcement we will see. Apparently it is more dangerous to have non-PC thoughts than to bankroll and support ‘real’ terrorist with guns, rocket propelled grenades and suicide bombers.

This kind of thinking is akin to this article out of Florida where the author claims that since a student has a Confederate flag on their vehicle, it means trouble. The only trouble that has occurred is that ‘real’ haters who disliked the flag (and his freedom of speech) pulled him out of his car and beat him up.

I suspect that holding the lamp of free association and liberty is a threat to some people. Having to think and investigate for facts is hard work. It is much easier to believe the list produced by some group than it is to actually uphold the Constitution.

The scary part is that the author trains law enforcement in New York City along with being a professor at a local college up there. It is scary to think what may be transpiring there, when guilt is assumed based on thought and associations rather than evidence and investigative fact finding. The hearsay of the SPLC is enough to get you considered a ‘terrorist’ according to this 24-year veteran of law enforcement. We can all sleep better at night knowing that the thought/dream police are working for us (he says sarcastically).

Robert E. Lee’s wisdom

Robert E. Lee once made the following statement “Obedience to lawful authority is the foundation of manly character. ” On the surface, this is a simple statement. On closer examination, there are profound truths and questions. In the empire today, “who is the lawful authority?”. Although the Obama regime is the de jour authority, are they the LAWFUL authority. Given the questions about his legitimacy, they are not. When the unlawful authority tells the people to do things, the question arises as to whether or not it is more lawful to obey or to disobey the unlawful commands?

Who or what is the ‘lawful’ authority. At this juncture, the question is cloudy. Rick Perry was elected Governor of Texas by the people. The concern is that the government of Texas has been occupational since the war. Since it has been ‘occupational’, is it lawful? Since the election was according to the law, following the authority of it would be the closest thing to lawful we have.

As Christians, Robert E. Lee’s quote poses tough questions. If we are to follow the law, which law do we follow? The de facto law or the de jour law? It will boil down to a matter of conscience, conviction and the threat of force. Who will you choose to serve?

The man is worthy of being a hero, much more so than the ‘official holiday’ personage. He (Lee) was loyal to his wife, a dedicated Christian and honorable instructor. The other personage was a womanizing, plagerizing man who claimed to follow God. The heroes we choose to honour and their values say much about our culture and what is important to us.
