On opening the local paper, I read the editorials written by the local hired help (elected polticos). My CONgress critter had a column in the paper on the safety of toys. The Safety of Toys! I wanted to scream. Lloyd Doggett has voted to remove my light bulbs, tell me how to live, what countries I can take my money to, raise the taxes on my energy, consider it a criminal offense to not buy into the insurance game and other travesties. He has worked overtime on removing freedoms and giving the money of hard working Texans to others, and what is his concern?—-TOYS! Please. This man does not take policy seriously. He complained when people confronted him that they wanted to cut Medicare, and what does he then do—-vote to cut Medicare! I hoped to gain some insight from his wisdom and what he thinks is important. His concern was toys. It figures. Although he cites concern for his grand-daughters, he does not mind burdening them with overwhelming debt. Instead of being concerned for their financial future, he wants to make sure that they have safe toys.

The sad part is that he is serious about toys. He does not see the damage of his policy decisions and how crippling it is to our freedoms and liberties. He wants to cripple our economy through cap and trade and keep us entertained with ’safe toys’.

One would figure that he would be concerned with Speaker Peolosi’s toys, like her jet. She disliked having to refuel, so she demanded a larger jet. While Newt Gingrich was speaker, he flew on commercial airlines, Ms. Pelosi has her own BIG jet. She flies back and forth at $60,000 each way for fuel (yes, that is $120,000 round trip. Since she flies home each weekend, the tab (picked up by the taxpayers) continues mounting. The cost of operation of this TOY is $480,000 per month and that is an annual cost to us of $5,760,000 .

Did Lloyd Doggett express concern about Pelosi’s TOY (her personal jet)? NO! By distracting us with concern about toys, he avoids the real concern and waste as shown by Pelosi’s jet.

Once again, the holiday season arrives, and my CONgress critter toys with the constituency rather than be concerned about the frivolous expenses of others toys.

Although he makes a point of citing reports on unsafe toys, the CONgress critter chooses to believe the myths of man-made climate change rather than investigate those reports himself. If politicos like him chose to read the reports rather than the summaries and to actually understand data collection and data tables, perhaps he would not have pushed for cap and trade, which is a policy solution to a problem that does not exist.

Texas has a large share of such politico types that would rather toy with their constituents than to seriously research their policies and basis for the policies.

We have been toyed with by these types for too long. We need to clean the house of broken old toys that are no longer of use.
