The latest example of buffoonery consists of the chief economist and senior economic advisor to the vice president, Jared Bernstein calling the computation figuring out how much each ’stimulus job’ costs as calculator abuse. The empire does not want the people to calculate that $160 BILLION divided by the ‘reported’ 1 million jobs saved comes to $160,000/job. It is much too dangerous to have people calculating those numbers. Even the man on the street knows that $160,000 dollars spent to save 1 job is not a good investment. Bear in mind that some reports say the actual number of jobs preserved (note the weasel word play between saved and created jobs) has the figure at 640,000. When that number is used, the cost per job jumps to $250,000 per job (gee, the President himself makes $400,000/year). When math is applied to the numbers, (which the empire does not want you to do. It is CALCULATOR Abuse, and you know how they feel about abuse don’t you?) the jobs that have been created seem to be cushy government ones with extremely high pay.
But, with government schools, the kids aren’t trained to do the calculations to figure such things out. To make matters worse, if you are doing your calculating on a Texas Instruments calculator and you happen to use the keys in a way they don’t want you to, you may receive a threatening letter from their lawyers. It seems that TI does not want people knowing how to ‘modify’ their calculators to do some serious math. If there are any Tim “the tool man” Taylor types that like to modify their property—-Look Out!
