Hate and Abortion

Over the years, liberals have used the catch phrase, “You can’t legislate morality!” to stifle proposed legislation. Although it was used to avoid many issues, the socialist arm of the democratic party has managed to do their own version of legislating morality with the passage and signing of the “Hate crimes act”. Even though it was passed in an underhanded fashion, they tout its passage as a victory. Conservatives have already began calling it a ‘thought crimes act’.  Although many States had hate crime legislation, this one makes the matter a federal one. When wickedness, perversion, and murder are called wickedness, perversion and murder, they now want to make it a crime.

The act is amazing, with just the signing of the document, the nation has ‘fixed’ these problems with a law. Those passing it think that they have eradicated hate by merely making it against the law. Given that most crimes are driven by hate in the first place, passage of this kind of law will not make it different, even though those passing it can pat themselves on the back and feel good about it.

Rest assured Southrons, that righteousness is still righteousness and wickedness is still wickedness, even though the government protects it, relabels it and puts its stamp of approval on it. The Southern National Congress recently addressed the wickedness known as ‘abortion’ (aka murder) and passed legislation accordingly.

Petition for a Redress of Grievances:

Abortion
We, the Delegates of the Southern States,
in Congress assembled, make the following findings and affirmations:

An unborn child receives its life, being, and spirit from God; and only God may take that innocent life, lest it be an act of murder.

The Supreme Court of the United States has created from whole cloth the spurious Constitutional “right” to abortion, resulting in the murder of millions of unborn children and the usurpation of the laws of God and the several States.

Consequently, Southerners are compelled to denounce “universal health care reform” as the single most profound change in the relationship between the state and the individual citizen since the founding of the Republic. We further censure the Federal government for its massive debt acquisition which has put not only the health but also the liberty and property of future Southern generations in jeopardy.

The Federal Government has further proposed certain legislation to require persons in the medical profession to participate in the murder of unborn children, in violation of their consciences and the laws of God, and to require all the citizens of the several States to submit to unlawful taxation to encourage, promote, and fund said abortion.

The right of the People to petition the Government for redress of grievances is recognized by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Therefore, we the Delegates to the Second Southern National Congress, petition the Governments of the Fourteen Southern States to:

  • Petition the Federal Government to immediately cease and desist its unlawful mandate of permissive abortion and funding of the murder of unborn children.

  • Petition the Supreme Court to reverse Roe v. Wade and its progeny, recognizing that there is no Constitutional right to murder the unborn; and that only the several States have the power to regulate such matters, consonant with the laws of God.

  • Petition the citizens of the several States to refuse to obey any Federal law and decrees which purport to require the participation in or funding of the murder of the unborn, recognizing the natural precedence of the laws of God over such arbitrary, capricious and tyrannical laws and decrees.
