More Arrogance from Texas Congressional Representatives

More arrogance from Texas is seen in the antics of Representative  (Hurricane Sheila) Sheila-Jackson Lee of the 18th Congressional District in Texas. In her case, she requires attendees to sign in (I wonder is she signed in before speaking out and protesting in Jena, Louisiana?). She also had the arrogance to take a cell phone call during her meeting. (at least she did not throw it at the audience like she did to one of her staffers). Her phone behavior is either arrogance or bad raising. She does acknowledge the Tuskegee study where the government abused the trust people placed in it to conduct harmful experiments, and claims that the government has made amends for that action.  She does want a public health option (e.g. government paying for it).

The requirement to have people sign in for attendance is hypocritical since she often butts into the business of other States, such as the incident in Jena, Louisiana without permission of the people there. She also deemed it in the best interest of the nation and her constituents to attend the Michael Jackson funeral ceremony.

Her actions say a lot. Her actions show that here constituents are NOT her priority.

Her actions show that she does not respect boundaries.

Her actions show that self-serving agenda items are always more important than her district. On one of her legendary flight, she told the airline “You don’t understand. I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen.” She is notorious for wanting to be upgraded to first class and separate from the common people.

She also has one of the highest turnover rates of any Congressional staff in the Imperial City.

Liberty for Texas and the South!

(The “Hurricane Sheila” nomiker came about when she demanded that there be more African-American names for hurricanes).
