If someone told you ten years ago that there would be a paramilitary youth organization run by the federal government that required the youth to wear uniforms, perform manual labour, and be required to participate most of us would not believe it. Yet today, here it is. The E-Corps (stands for Environmental Corps). The E-Corps is a branch of AmeriCorps (The modern day CCC-Civilian Conservation Corps). [A lesson in word etiology: The term corps is a derivative of “corpse” and is used in referring to a body of military troops or a ‘dead’ body in old English. My guess is that the founders of Americorps and E-Corps never did their homework in order to realize the terms litteraly mean the “dead body of America” and the “dead body of environmental”. But, hey, why bother with actual intellectual effort, when you can just come up with something that ’sounds’ good ].
The CORPSe wear olive green uniforms (t-shirts and hardhats), sleep in tents and are “allowed” to go home on the weekends. The location where they stay has a designation as a “camp”.
I was stunned when I saw the write up in the local newspaper on how this E-Corps group is working nearby. The youth will also be going into local communities to ‘get to know them better’. It is one thing if the boy scouts or some other group volunteers to help, but this one smacks of FDR’s work camps and his alphabet soup programs. It is always concerning when the empire is expanding its reach. The Hussein administration has managed to blend together volunteer work, federal control, spying and environmental work into one big project. It is also astounding how the local press praises the projects with little concern expressed over the “creeping expansion of the federal tentacles” into local affairs. The local press encourages people to meet the volunteers and bring food with them.
Since this is part of the stimulis package, the empire wants to restrict criticism of such actions as well. This essentially amounts to the local communities being infiltrated (by the “benevolent” volunteers) and people are not being allowed to express their criticism of such actions. What will happen when it is not longer the green shirts, but expands to groups like the “brown shirts”?
Throughout Texas and the South, you may want to be on the lookout for ‘green shirts’ infiltrating your towns and communities. They are coming. The press will encourage the locals to support their presence by offering a welcome and food. (Something strange about wanting to offer Southern hospitality to people who are infilatrating the culture).
Even the logo is reminiscent of Nazi work programs. The logo consists of a red gear with a symbol for a young person in the middle. The use of the gear logo was common with many Nazi programs.![]()
