Threats from Spanish Courts

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is in the news again. A Spanish court has taken the first step toward criminal investigations concerning six members of the Bush regime. The Spanish judge, Baltasar Garzón (who is known for his pursuit of human rights violations) submitted information to a prosecutors office for potential investigation. Although in a sovereign nation, the actions of Spanish courts would typically have no bearing on actions in the Union of States, this time things may be different.

Texas did its time under Spanish law. Our last taste of it included the ethnic cleansing of Texas. Women were raped, men were executed and martial law imposed as part of imposing Spanish rule. Santa Anna participated in the massive cleansing in the aftermath of the Battle of Medina. We have a history of surviving what life was like under Spanish law. We do not need a repeat of such atrocities, yet….

What makes the difference is that the regime of the Chosen One has nominated Harold Koh for the top legal position in the State Department. (Koh was a dean of the Yale law school, although being a professor at such an establishment does not mean that one is intelligent or has common sense.) Koh is a fan of tansnationalism. This is a legal theory which seeks to remove the legal distinctions between nations. He also wants to interpret the Constitution according to how other nations law and interpretations. If a lawyer like Koh has his way in the State Department, then what happens in the Spanish courts would not stay in the Spanish courts. What happens over there will impact what is done here.

Koh and his fellow travellers pose a threat to sovereingty. He wants to sell the empire out to the international legal system.  Alberto Gonzales advised the Bush regime on removing the Confederate plaques in Texas. He sold Texas and Texas Heritage out.Although I disapprove of his actions, it is not up to the Spanish legal system to take action. When international courts start attacking our rights and legal system, something is wrong, dead wrong with the system.

Koh’s nomination needs to be opposed.

Sovereignty needs to be preserved.

TARP will cost more than first thought

In reading through the news, I was struck by an article concerning how the TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) will cost the taxpayer 4x more than originally proposed. Read that again. THE BAILOUT WILL COST FOUR TIMES MORE THAN WHAT THEY TOLD US!

Why the cost overrun you ask. Well, it seems that the brilliant minds that wrote the bill forgot to include the costs associated with the additional financing and associated programs run by the Fed (Federal Reserve) and FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation).(What that means is that the administrative part of the government did not tell the CONgress what it would actually cost [i.e. the branch of government directly under the Hussein regime did not do their homework. ]) Let’s face it folks, the administration currently is in over its head. The low level of competence shown by such action makes one wonder what else are they incompetent about?

The empire must have its administrative fees covered it seems. This type of mismanagement is akin to a garage quoting the customer one price when the repair commences and then another price when their vehicle is ready. The added expenses being touted under such things as labor, inspection, federal excise tax, environmental fees and fees for disposal. When my garage does that, it is cause for concern, claiming you should have told me about those items when we started. Likewise CONgress should have told us about those items at the time of purchase. Instead, they tack on their administrative fees (which are more than the TARP program originally) as part of the price tag.

It remains to be seen what the incompetence of the Hussein regime (aka the reign of the Chosen One, aka the Sortero regime) will cost the South in terms of treasure and blood before it is all over. Not only are there cost overuns, the regime wants more of your children to fight its wars. They want to re-educate all your children to their way of looking at the world.

Neither Texas nor the Union of States can afford such programs.

State Soverignty Update!

In Texas, there are three measures aimed at State Soverignty. The first is HCR 50, which asserts the 10 amendment, the second in HCR 66, which asserts 9th amendment rights. and has even more teeth than HCR 50. The third is HCR 76, which asserts the US government will need to abide by the powers it was limited to in the Constitution. To find the status of these bills, follow this link and type in the bill number. If it is during business hours, you can call the numbers listed. Texas needs your support and for you to pray about and call on this matters.

If you are interested in the current status of such measures in other States, follow this link to see which states have submitted such bills and their status.

Tennessee Needs Help

Tennessee needs your help now !!

Please call your Representative and express your opposition to HJR 0007, sponsored by Rep. Brenda Gilmore (D-Nashville).

HJR 0007 is “A RESOLUTION expressing profound regret for the enslavement and racial segregation of African-Americans.”

This Resolution is entirely unworthy of the Tennessee General Assembly’s time. Apart from the disputable “facts” listed in its wording, the Resolution asks the Assembly in the name of all Tennesseans to apologize for something for which someone else is responsible. The Scripture is clear that children are not to be punished for the sins of their parents. If such horrendous sins were committed, as is charged by Rep. Gilmore, we have no business giving an apology for them.

The Tennessee League of the South opposes HJR 0007. We urge every member and sympathizer to contact their Representative immediately to express personal opposition to the Resolution. (As always, when your call is answered by their staff, please be polite and simply state your opposition. No name calling. No need to give a dissertation on your reasoning. Getting off quickly so someone else can get through allows more opposition to be registered in the representative’s call log.)

HJR 0007 is on the 31 March 2009 (tomorrow!!) agenda of the House Sate & Local Government Committee.

Go to our website for links to the various Representatives on the committee. http://www.freetennessee.org/legislation.htm

Your help is needed today (the committee meets at Noon Tuesday).

News from Georgia

In Georgia, League member, Ray McBerry is running for Governor. Here is the latest update from that State.

————-

March Update

* Ray spoke at the Atlanta Tea Party tax rally at the state capitol with approx 300+ attendees in the pouring rain.  Of the three Republican gubernatorial candidates who spoke, we received much more applause and cheers for our words.  One of the other candidates introduced himself to me afterwards and simply said, “You had some great lines… this is gonna be an interesting year.”

* Ray spoke at the State Sovereignty rally at the state capitol.  Although several of the other gubernatorial candidates had been invited and one confirmed that he would be present, they backed out when they heard that we were speaking!  Approx 75-100 people attended, and we gained some more volunteers.

* Ray was invited to speak to the Georgia Tech College Republicans last Monday night.  The topic for my talk was “States’ Rights” and the students present were very enthusiastic to hear the message!

* Ray was invited to speak to the Savannah Young Republicans and Chatham County GOP last Thursday night.  Again, the theme of the campaign presentation was “States’ Rights” and received enthusiastic support.  We gained a dozen new volunteers for the campaign from the meeting, as well as a regional coordinator for Savannah!

*Ike Hall, the state coordinator for Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty organisation, met with Ray for nearly three hours and has agreed to join our campaign steering committee and personally endorse us in the primary.  The Campaign for Liberty folks all across the state are leaving the other gubernatorial candidates’ campaigns and flocking to ours as they hear about our platform!

*In addition to those volunteers who have signed up at www.GeorgiaFirst.org, we now have more than 500 supporters who have joined the Facebook group for Georgia First just since January!

As you can see, things are going extremely well.  We have already purchased the first 10,000 push cards and 1,000 campaign buttons; but we desperately need to go ahead and make an initial purchase of yard signs, as we have people across the state asking for them.  We need funds to purchase them!  Would you please take the time to make a contribution to the campaign, even if you’re from another state?  And pass this email on to every Southern list that you think is appropriate.

What would you give to help the first States’ Rights governor win???   We only need to increase our votes from the 50,000 in 2006 to approx 150,000 in 2010… and we have a year this time, instead of only a mere 90 days like last time!  That many votes should put us into the Republican run-off… then anything is possible!  Our message is being incredibly received… the time is right… but we MUST get it out in front of more people.

Please help today… donate online at www.GeorgiaFirst.org OR by phone at 706.374.2643  OR via mail to

Big Government is the root of all problems

The Founding Fathers distrusted Big Government. They had good reasons for their distrust. Big government at their time required licenses for preachers, licenses to beg, and so on. Besides requiring many licenses, they also required many taxes. Besides the taxes, the people grew tired of the military presence and strong arm tactics used by the big government to force their rule on the people. The Customs House (tax office) was a frequent target of their anger. Many of the Founding Fathers became very proficient in smuggling and finding ways around the oppressive government they were under.

When the Founding Fathers of the Confederacy dealt with this issue a second time, they made sure that the central government was weak, and that it would not ‘take over’ the other branches of government, nor could the whole thing grow out of control.

Big Government often shapes and molds our behavior through its tax policies. The tax policies often reshape the way people conduct business. A second means of controlling behavior is through regulation and licensing. By regulating and licensing, they are putting limits on business. It is not by mistake that in front of the Department of Labor, there are two large statues of strong horses, being held back by restraints. The images were intended to convey a message. The message that , “We are here to control and restrain”.

Come to think of it the whole architecture of the Imperial City is designed to convey bigness and power. It is intended to overwhelm the viewer. By creating that impression, they are sending a message of overpowering the citizen. The buildings are set up more like Roman temples.

Bear in mind that the policies of big government have given us abortion, tax-payer funded abortions, wars, assasinations, corruption, high taxes, the housing crisis, the banking crisis, the weaking of marriages and families, military conscription, monitoring of elections, forced re-location of immigrants into our communities, forced integration of schols and communities, gun control, forced vaccination (an in some cases, forced sterilization), forced indoctrination (in the government education facilities aka public schools), forced weaking of immigration laws, forced hiring of protected infidividuals, forced healthcare coverage, and many other benefits of big government.

If you thought that Big Government was problematic before, now that the Chosen One is in office, the power of Big Government has gotten many-fold larger. It is bigger and more foreful than before. It wants more and delivers less. If you think the housing and banking crisis were big, just wait until the stimulus takes effect.

Texas makes the Homeland Security Terror risk list

Texas cities are again on the Homeland Security Terror risk list. Rather than panic and head for the hills, bear in mind that being on the list earns that city or region access to increased federal monies in the form of grants. Although to the man on the street, having a designation of “Terror Risk” is synonymous with potential danger, to politicians, making the list means more federal dollars going to the home district. For example, politicians in Las Vegas are upset that their city is no longer on the current list.

For Texas, this means that Houston and Galveston will receive about $31 million dollars. They are considered at the first tier level.

The cities of El Paso, San Antonio, Dallas/Ft. Worth/Arlington are each considered on the second tier of the list.

Other Texas cities that were added to this years list include the Austin and Round Rock area. Some of the local politicians are pleased with Austin now making “the list”.

So much for common sense.

Geithner’s flip-flop

It is not surprising that the economy is in crisis with people like Obama’s pick Geithner serving as Secretary of the Treasury. When he was giving testimony before Congress, he emphatically denied being open to a world currency when queried directly by Representative Michele Bachmann. In less than 24-hours, he changed his mind and then in another interview told the public that he was open to the idea.

Proverbs 29:12 “If a ruler hearken to lies, All his servants are wicked.

In this case, the servants are definitely not only harkening to lies, but telling them in a blatant manner. Rather than take my word for it, see for yourself.

Lawrence v. Texas in the news again

It amazes me how people will clamor about getting government out of their bedroom, but then they use the government courts to pry into the business of the State of Texas to force their will on everyone else. In both the landmark cases of Roe v. Wade and Lawrence v. Texas, the Supreme Court meddled in Texas laws and soverignty. In both cases, the Supreme Court, in the name of privacy, invaded the business of Texas citizens and overturned our laws. What about the privacy of Texans? I guess when people have liberal cause, the rights of Texas and Texans are overruled so that the political cause will trump the legal rights of the people of Texas.

In the latest turn of events CONgress critter Barney Frank is criticizing a Supreme Court justice for his opinions supportive of the Texas laws in Lawrence v. Texas.  Frank goes so far as to call him a homophobe. The reality is that the Supreme Court used international law rulings in their overturning of this Texas law rather than US court rulings. In making their opinion on this matter, they effectively placed the US legal system UNDER international law and legal precedents. Irregardless of Scalia’s personal views, legally, his opinions were the ones respective of American soverignty and for the preservation of the American legal system. CONgressman Frank is intentionally stirring up a hornets nest for some reason. He wants to distract from the real issues. I suspect that Frank wants to change the balance of the Supremes since there is now a possibility that they may hear the case concerning the eligibility of the Chosen One.
