Returning to 30 years ago?

In his first news conference the Usurper (Ben Barack Hussein Obama, aka President Hussein, aka Barry Sortero) stated that he wanted

“the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago.”

His statement led me to go back to the archives. 30 years ago, Jimmy Carter re-instated Robert E. Lee’s citizenship and U.S. personnel (including several Texans)were being held hostage in Tehran. Prior to Khomeni’s return to power, many Muslim students held protests on college campuses across the empire. At that time they were ridiculed and held in low regard by the student populations. Out of general courtesy, they were not mistreated. From being a student at that time, the general regard was that they were not fitting into American society, they stunk up the classrooms with their odor and they were generally avoided. The students on college campuses did not like them coming over here disprespecting the laws, and not behaving. In 1978 the general consensus was that Americans disliked the nations that they saw as responsible for the long lines at the oil pumps. The American people were cheering Israel on to kick arab butt in the Yom Kippur war.

Along the oil producing gulf coast, there was some support for Aramco (Arab-American Oil Company), mainly because they were paying big bucks for people to help them develop their oil fields and production. Getting a job with Aramco was a plum position in those days.  What loyalties and good feelings that existed were driven by wealth.

Even in popular culture, the image of the money-driven sheik was seen in “The Gumball Rally” and other pop culture films. The empire was making money off the Iran-Iraq war by selling weapons to one or the other nation. The little island of Shark el-Shek was seen as a critical position in the war.

The usurper wants relations to return to that state. His words sound like good rhetoric, but what in reality does he want? The relations that existed 30 years ago were not buddy-buddy.

What does that have to do with Southern Independence? In Texas, the federal government was not so involved in everyone’s business. The big issue was the assasination of a federal judge in Texas due to some involvement in prosecuting drug running cases. There was NO talk of a North American Union. The borders were clear.

Does the usurper really want a return to those times? Is it possible that this is just rehtoric designed to create a nostalgia for days and reltions that never existed? Could such an interview be playing on the uneducated minds of Saudi Arabians and other Middle Eastern nations that do not remember the relations of 30 years ago?  His rehtotiric sounds good, but those in the Middle East often have long memories and I do not think they will fall for the usurpers rehtoric like many in the empire have.

Free Texas!
