The New Year has barely started and the hired help (CONgress) is already up to their shenanigans. Now the brain trust in the Imperial City (aka Mordor on the Potomac) want to raise the gasoline taxes. It was bad enough that they gave themselves a pay raise and now they want to hit us with more gas taxes. Their logic is that the money from fuel taxes are down since people are driving less (I thought they wanted us to conserve). To make up the shortfall in expected revenues, they want to raise taxes in order to repair the roads. They complain when we drive our SUV’s and now they complain that we do not drive enough. Such is the logic of the hired help.
Just who are these people? Here is the list of commisioners who made the recommendation:

The one that concerns me is State Representative Mike Krusee of Texas. He represents State District 52 (North Austin). Does it surprise you that a hired hand from a liberal area such as Austin would be part of such a recommendation? So if you are represented by Mike Krusee, you may want to give him a talkin’ to concernign the commissions recommendations.This is the kind of representation that we DO NOT need.
