Ministry of Kulture

I am often reminded of the line from the movie Blazing Saddles when Slim Pickens asked “What will that idiot think of next?”. These days that question applies to the main stream media and its adherents. The latest installment is from William Ferris, who in a column for the New York Times advocated that the usurper (Ben Barack Hussein Obama) create a new cabinet level position. This new position would be the Ministry of Culture. The audacity of such a suggestion is appaling. I recognize the need to preserve a culture, yet squirm at the thought that someone wants to use taxpayer money to preserve the cesspool of popular culture that currently exists.

If the culture is truly worth preserving, then people will do it. In the South, the past is preserved and retained. The people did it since they believed it was worth saving. Many aspects of Texas culture have been retained becasue it was worth saving, NOT becasue the government decided so. The Alamo, Goliad and other historic structures have been preserved by the citizens and volunteer groups, NOT federal bail out programs.

Add to this the Nazi-like sound of such a position-”The Minister of Culture”. Such a position would sound like a culture cop that insures that only the proper culture which respects all and offends only those deemed undesirable by the regime are supported. The Nazi regime maintained tight reins on culture for a reason. They used it as a tool for propaganda and to create a “homogeneous”  culture. Such a position sounds like a new version of “Reconstruction” to me.

If such a position was made, what culture would be preserved pray tell? In this day of political correctness run amok, which culture would be “worthy” of their concern? The empire has already expressed its disdain of Southern Culture and Texas Culture (remember the removal of the historic plaques at the Texas Supreme Court Building?). We do not need a regime that does not even include one Southerner to preserve a cess pool mainstream polyglot culture that currently exists.

Do you want to preserve the mainstream culture that currently exists in the empire? Look at the majority of films that come out of Hollywood. Do they encourage Christian values? Do they provide real heroes that the younger generation can look up to? Do they extol honor? Do they lift up the dignity of Texas or the South?

In most cases, hedonism, greed and selfishness are extolled as virtues. The Texan or Southron are often portrayed in negative light and Christianity is ridiculed. These are not values worth preserving. Perhaps it is time for the cultural arts to produce a good product. In a time when most non-profits are showing some wonderful financial health, how is it that the places that spew out the contemporary values are hurting? Could it be that they are not in touch with the common man? Could it be that the values they portray are not those valued by most freedom loving people?

Once again, the answer is NOT more government. The answer to the financial straits that these cultural fountains is in lies in less government. If you want more support from the common man, deliver something that extols honor, dignity, and Christian values.

More Bang for your buck!

As a taxpayer, are you getting enough bang for your buck? With all the trouble between Gaza and Israel in the news, do you feel like you are getting your moneys worth?

Recall that the current regime gave Hamas 1/2 billion dollars. Do you want to guess what they spent it on? -Fireworks….BIG fireworks. This is the same group that Condi Rice reacted furiously to when some members of Hamas were refused entrance into the US after it was found they had blood on their hands terrorist connections. This Hamas is also the same group that endorsed …..you guessed it…the usurper, Ben Barack Hussein Obama for President. Remember how Hussein Obama conducted a campaign tour of the Middle East? The timing of such events is not by accident. While the tourists were busy in Bethlehem, the Palestinian government approved the use of crucifixtion as a punishment for some crimes. So the Hamas oriented government shows its appreciation for its being financially underwritten by Christian taxpayers in the empire.

This same Hamas is the one who stores RPG’s in their university classrooms. Yet despite the connections with terrorism and bloodshed, both the current regime and that of incoming usurper both maintain cordial relations with this terrorist hate group.

What does this have to do with Southern Independence-plenty!

1. The administration pressures Israel to accept the soverignty of the (bite the hand that feeds you) Palestinians, claiming that Israel illegally took over their land. Although the empire pressures others to surrender territory obtained by military conquest, they refuse to give us our freedom and independence when they occupied the Southern States. This is duplicitous politics at their worst.

2. The regime said they would not negotiate with terrorists. “You are either with us or against us!” This is a total disregard of their stated policy.

3. Those are our tax dollars being spent in the big fireworks display. It is a shame that YouTube has censored some of the explosions since we paid for it.Since we paid for the fireworks show, shouldn’t we be able to see it. The Hamas groups are using the Yankee playbook by setting up their rocket launchers in residential areas. The idea of using human shields was a common tactic of the Yankee invaders during the war.  They often used captured Confederate soldiers as cannon fodder in their attacks on our lines, which shows the noblity and courage of the Yankee commanders. They set the stage for a military heritage of human shields and destroying residential areas themselves.

Jefferson Davis said it best “All we want is to be left alone”.  What would Jeff Davis have done? He would have stayed out of the affairs of other nations. He would mind his own business. They would not underwrite terrorists.

Happy New Year!

The Constitution is the Solution

In the latest episode of the Blogovich scandal, Senate Democrats are talking about not allowing the man appointed by the Governor to be seated. This is not the first time that the Senate has taken such steps. During reconstruction, the power brokers in the Senate refused allowing the Senators from the Southern States to be seated. So they have set precedents for themselves.  The Senate does not care who is the legitimate representative, they only select those whom they approve of. In the Constitution of the Founding Fathers, the governors and State legislators were the ones who appointed the Senators. The people did not elect the Senators when the nation was formed. It has only been since the government has CHANGED the Constitution on this matter in 1913 that problems erupted. The solution to the Blago mess is allow the State Legislature to decide on who to send like the Constitution originally said.

The Democrats did not care when the Clinton regime had peccadillo, but they sure raise cain with Blago. Could this be a double standard?

The answer is always less government and to follow the Constitution.

The South: New enemy of Detroit

The Detroit News has entered the political arena. Their automotive columnist, John McCormick has written a column suggesting that the tables be turned on the South. He attacks those Southerners who had the audacity to stand against the empire’s bailout of the automotive industry. He sees the South as the new enemy of Detroit. Could it be that the highly unionized economy now has a straw man to attack? Rather than pin the problems on poor management, poor administration of the auto companies, or excessive expenses related to healthcare plans and union wages, it is easier to attack those who stand up and speak out. Never mind that the money being spent belongs to the taxpayer. Never mind that the Constitution does not authorize Congress to take such actions.

McCormick does make a valid argument in pointing out that the Congress grilled the auto makers, yet gave the financial institutions a free pass when they were wanting a bailout. The mixed message is a confusing one. To many Northern industrialists, the industrial north sees the auto industry as vital.  Rather than let market forces take over, the plan is to put more money into an area that has already been problematic. This is akin to feeding a trouble making dog more than usual. It will not make the dog better, it will only make it bigger.

McCormick points out that Michigan gladly helped out with Katrina and other disasters. They may have helped some communities which I do not know about. Many Southerners had to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and excercise self-reliance in recovering from disasters. There is also a major difference between a man-made disaster, and one that was an act of God. Acts of God do need assistance from others. Disasters brought on from high salaries, high benefits, and questionable management require different solutions.

Now that the financial institutions and auto industry get bailouts, the question arises, who is next? Some states (California and Massachusetts) [Note: recall that Massachusetts was the State that recently required that all its citizens have insurance.] and cities are already crying for assistance along with the abortion industry. Perhaps there are too many services and too high taxes in these locations.  The abortion industry bailout is significant concern. Should the empire spend billions  of dollars to kill? Should the taxpayers bailout a morally wicked industry?

Taxes in California for instance are phenomenally high. The real culprits are unfunded mandates, poor management (the management at GM is notorious for creating an atmosphere that lacks competitiveness), poor policy (e.g. Governor Schwarnegger’s recent “Bank on California scheme) ,excessive government regulation and taxes that are out of control. The answer is not more money, it is less government.

Central Planning, Regionalism and Consolidation

Depend upon it, there is no difference between Consolidation and Empire; no difference between Centralism and Imperialism. The consummation of either must necessarily end in the overthrow of Liberty and the establishment of Despotism.”

– Vice-President Alexander Stephens, CSA

Alexander Stephens was noted for his wisdom and intellect. In his words are insights and lessons that apply to us today. In his time, the word ‘consolidation’ was used. The modern term is ‘centralization’ or ‘central planning’. The growing centralization of government agencies is a sign that liberty is decreasing and despotism is increasing on a daily basis. Under the Bush regime, many agencies were put under ‘central’ authority. This is occuring across many agencies. It will impact us in many ways.

This trend is not limited to the convergence and centralization of federal government. This is also occurring on local and regional levels as central planning is occuring under the nomiker of ‘regionalism’ . To central planners, it means that the services and administration of several cities are combined into a centralized agency. To a Southron, the term means that the local states are taking stands for themselves. In these days, it is important to not be confused by the terms. Many times government agencies intentionally use strange terms or confusing terms in order to keep the public from acurately understanding what they are doing. Do not assume that the meaning you attribute to a word is the same one a government agent does.

Stephens saw the danger of such actions. His words are a warning of instruction to us today. He knew the danger. He saw what central authority can accomplish and what it can destroy. If you come across regionalism, regional planning or central control, recognize the danger and take appropriate action. When you see and hear a rattle on a rattle snake you know what to do. When you hear these terms, it poses a danger that needs a response and that response is not one of befriending the danger.

What was best for Texas?

It is often amazing to see how historic events are repackaged, ignored or distorted in the name of making Texas “going it alone” look bad. Recall, that had the people listened to the Presidents of Texas, things would be different. Presidents Lamar and Jones were opposed to joining the Union. President Sam Houston supported the idea, but he was also in tight with the political powers at the time. His former seat in Congress had been occupied by James Knox Polk, who was elected President. He was close friends with President Andrew Jackson and he actively undermined the Texas Navy when the Republic exercised its soverignty.

When the time to vote for joining the Union, two out of three Presidents were vehemently opposed to the offer. France, England and Mexico were opposed to the offer. The only people for the offer were the investors in the United States. Bear in mind that many of the banks had a vested interest in bringing Texas into the Union.  Many times the history books play up the views of Sam Houston and ignore the views of the other Presidents. President Jones knew that US agents were working behind the scenes to reduce resistance to joining the Union. The agent provocatuers did their job. The Texas Congress was bribed and the people were hoodwinked in the deal.

Perhaps it is time for True Texians to review the sentiments of their past Presidents and reconsider their opinions.

Wounded Ducks are dangerous

Wounded animals are dangerous, including lame ducks. The current regime is now setting the stage for the Ben Barack Hussein Obama regime to take over. In one of their parting shots, a rule has been put through that allows private companies preferential treatment in operating toll roads in Texas. Although privatization is usually good, when the government sets up preferences by law, the game is rigged. In this case, the North Texas Tollroad Authority (NTTA) is receiving preferential treatment (on an ironic note, this is the same company that owns the President George Bush Turnpike). The rule was the result of prompting from investment bankers. The suspicious timing raises many questions about what kind of deals were made to keep bankers happy.

The NTTA recently refinanced its construction with bonds in May of 2008This occurred after their bonds were downgraded in their ratings. So in Texas, we are talking about giving preferential treatment to a company that has been downgraded in their financial ratings. If the companyis not able to compete on a level playing field, then what is the reason for it being given preferential treatment? This is not the first time they have been given preferential treatment either. In the bidding war for acquisition of Texas 121, they were allowed to submit bids after the ‘official’ bidding ended. Their last minute bid beat out the competition (CINTRA) for the project. The winning of the project was a violation of federal rules even then.

The NTTA has been involved in the Trans-Texas Corridor mess for quite some time. Although the NTTA was organized as a sub-division of the State, there is little or no accountability to the voters for its operation.

This latest late night rule put forth by the wounded duck also raises concerns about what other rules will be put in place? Recall that it was the ATF policies set up by the regime of Bush I that was behind the operations at Ruby Ridge and Waco (the Clinton regime had only been in power for five weeks when events unfolded. They had not even obtained an approval on Attorney General at that point).  The leader of the present regime is known for his late night escapades like the removal of the Confederate plaques which were stolen off the Texas Supreme Court building late on a Friday Night. Since the wounded duck regime has a reputation for such actions, it remains to be seen what kind of surprises will be left for the regime of the usurper, Ben Barack Hussein Obama (aka Barry Soretero).

These late night rules amount to abuses of political power and a disregard for free enterprise. It is another example of taxation (in this case tolls), without representation (in this case, accountability to the voters).

With this lame duck, it is important to look at what they do rather than what they say. The border patrol agents are still in jail, while several drug dealers have been pardoned. What do such actions say about where this regime stands? What is more important, protecting the borders or freeing drug users? Apparently it is freeing drug users.

If we are looking for peace on earth or borders being protected or respected we need to look somewhere else besides the Imperial City.

The truth comes out!

A flag shop in South Carolina is in the middle of controversy. They began selling Confederate flags with the image of Obama on the flag as well. Local community leaders say that the flag is an insult to the black community. The irony of the matter is that Barack Obama is a descendant of a cousin of Jefferson Davis. Whatever the orignal intent of the flag was, the truth is that it is an acknowledgement of his culture and heritage. Although Obama has little to do with the South and does not claim his Southern roots, they exist. Not only does he selectivley pick and choose which heritage he honours, the media selectively report on his background as well. Is he ashamed of where he came from? Is the Rev. David Kennedy aware of this fact as he organizes an upcoming protest at the shop?  The likelihood is that the “show will go on” and rather than take a look at the facts, the demonisation of the South will continue with the media being their lapdog. Rather than seek the truth, the two will go for what plays well with the public and makes news. Rather than protest the flag, Rev. Kennedy needs to protest that KKK that operates the store and their message of hate. It is a travesty that the honor of the Confederate flag has been tainted by the message of hate by associating it with the KKK. The KKK has distorted the meaning of the Confederate flag.

The true history of the Southern Nation and Texas will show that men and women of all races contributed to their liberty and freedom. The flag of Texas and of the Confederacy was carried and fought for by many races.

Welcoming the new CZAR

It would be concerning if I was the only one making the case that the Obama regime is about cultural marxism. What is unsettling is that the administration and the media are also making the case. In the latest installment of the empire’s transition to Marxism and Russian-like totalitarian state, Joe Biden has been dubbed the “working family’s czar“. The very use of the word CZAR in regard to someone over the people is disturbing. Yes I know the term has been used before, and it also had disasterous consequences. I am reminded that Lee Brown served as drug czar. In personal conversations with Lee Brown, I realized that Mordor on the Potomac politics was only being repackaged. The use and reuse of the term czar only gets the people accepting of the term. The Nazi-regime under Hitler understood the power of words and how words shape people’s thinking.

With that in mind, a pertinent question is “what are the Obama regime trying to change our thinking to?” Are we going to have more czar figures in office? Does the middle class need its own czar?

The irony of it all, is that with Ben Barack Hussein Obama (aka Barry Sortero), being the illigitimate son elected head of the regime, the only legitimate head is Joe Biden of Delaware.

Southrons take care of their own. Texians take care of their own. The last thing Texas needs is someone telling them how to live.  Texas stood up to the Viceroys of old (e.g. Guiterrez Magee expedition and the Hidalgo uprisings) and they have no place for the Czars of the present.
