This year marks the 200th anniversary of President Jefferson Davis. A ceremony commemorating his taking office as President took place in Montgomery, Alabama. This video from Shreveport covers the event in an honourable manner. It will make you proud to be a Southron. He was a true Christian gentleman who honoured God and his word. Let us remember President Davis and his godly heritage, both in word and deed. Historians do not record him telling racist or vulgar jokes as they do with the tyrant Lincoln. He attended worship at the local church regularly with his family. His faith was part of his daily life, unlike Lincoln, whose faith was a veneer for a loathing of Christians and Christianity. He was a man who was committed to his principles. In the Mexican War, he personally led his men rather than just send them into the fray.
Let us give thanks for Jefferson Davis and his witness.
