Texas LOS endorses Larry Kilgore

The Texas League of the South endorses Larry Kilgore as the best candidate for US Senate in the State of Texas. His stands are compatible with our goals. See his website, LarryKilgore.com for a detail of his stands on the issues. Larry was not ashamed to be with the League at the secessionist convention last year as well. He has been associated with the Eagle Forum, CWA, CPC and Focus on the Family.

A thanks to Austin members of the League for reminding me of this candidate.

Some other candidate alerts:

If you live in Texas State District 134, Mhair Dekmezian is opposed to stopping the Trans-Texas Corridor and favors gambling in Texas.

If you live in Texas State District 107, John Randall Stevens is opposed to stopping the Trans-Texas Corridor, and to banning abortions. (surprise-he is also a member of the State Bar).

If you live in Texas State District 122, Frank J. Corte is opposed to stopping the Trans-Texas Corridor.

If you live in Texas State District 30, Craig Estes is opposed to stopping the Trans-Texas Corridor.

A broken weather vane voters guide to CONgressional elections

Fellow Texians,

If you live in the following US CONgressional Districts, CD 3, CD-4, CD -14, CD-18, CD 22, or CD-27,then you may want to view the following voters guide based on their conservatism.  I mentioned that the representatives currently in office for CD 22 voted for the insane light bulb ban. He also voted for using more of our food for fuel. If you like high food prices and high gas prices, make sure that you say your thanks to Nick Lampson and the Travis County DA, Ronnie Earl that made it possible for him to push such insane policies. Travis County had no business intervening in Harris and Galveston County issues. The intrusiveness of meddling in others business rather than your own is the hallmark of meddling Yankee policies. The recommendations are based largely on pro-life issues and do not represent the views of the League of the South, since most of the candidates have ignored States Rights, which is paramount if people want to turn pro-life or any other policy around. The States need to exercise their authority over their own laws, rather than the feds trampling what the values and statutes of a given community are. This guide is like a broken weather vane that you can only trust when the wind is blowing a particular direction, although it is not perfect, it is all I have at the moment. Texas is a big State. I welcome feedback from League members on actions in their communities.

Look at the rulings of various judges in your communities to see if they abide by the rule of law. See if they respect States Rights.

Big Brother is after your money.

In a further invasion of privacy, Senator Carl Milton Levin wants to investigate whether or not US citizens have accounts in  Lichtenstein bank. He apparently does not like secrecy laws and offshore accounts. His actions illustrate the pompous attitude many officials have. They view money held by US citizens subjects as “their” money. They have forgotten that it is not their money. The arrogance of the Leviathan Yankee government is astounding. The people earn the money, it does not belong to the government. They think that the government is entitled to a share of the money earned by the people. This difference raises a significant questions. “Do we have financial freedom?” “Can we spend the money we own anyway we choose?” “Is is our money or the government’s money?” If we do not have economic freedom, we surely do not have political freedom.

Carl Levin needs to focus his concern on taking care of Michigan rather than chasing down funds in Lichtenstein. He is no friend of gun rights, wants strict fuel efficiency standards and supports stem cell research. Levin has been outspoken about who should be in control of the government in Iraq rather than let their people choose for themselves. He advocates all these items while in his state, the city of Dearborn in transforming into a Islamic stronghold. His actions reveal much about his priorities and loyalties.   He is the epitome of an intrusive Yankee meddling politician.

The League advocates that it is your money. You can spend it however you wish. The way this nation was set up, the original method of financing the operations of government was from collecting duty on imports and export, not the earnings of its people. Who do we have to thank for this arrogance of government, why none other than the tyrant Abraham Lincoln who first came up with a tax on the income of the people.

Have the Democrats lost their minds-Part III

Sometimes people can not see the forest for the trees. In terms of the recent democratic campaign the facts have been in front of the people and they do not recognize them.

First, Mike Tuggle nailed this one from the League of the South’s Dixienet.org site:

As enunciated last night by Hillary Rodham Clinton in the debate with Barack Hussein Obama:

“Imagine if FDR made Social Security voluntary. Imagine if LBJ made Medicare voluntary.”

Instead, both big-government programs were forced on us.  That’s the liberal, statist ideal—taking away people’s freedom and regulating their lives for them.  The prospect of freedom of choice breaking out fuels their worst nightmares.

If the public could see exactly what she is saying, they would be up in arms. She is advocating forcing new programs on us against our will. What is worse is that there is little or no outcry against it.

Second,  at the Texas University in Austin, both Bill Clinton and Henry Cisneros took to the podium together. How quickly people forget that Cisneros was convicted of wrongdoings. He forced changes on Vidor, Texas against the will of the people living there, but do people remember? He had been at the helm of Countrywide in their financial misdealings related to the sub prime crisis, and do people realize that his questionable leadership was responsible? NO they do not recall that. They also forget that Bill Clinton’s immoral behavior in the White House. They forget his philandering and mistreatment of women. I did not hear NOW speak out against his misogynous ways. Instead they are treated like heroes. Men convicted of breaking the law. I mean really breaking the law, and disrespecting the law rather than being victims of a frame-up, and the people flock to hear these two reprobates speak. If such men are their heroes, what can we expect out of their votes?

Look at what they do…

In the latest installment of look at what the administration does rather than what it says, the FDIC has taken steps to increase its staff. What pray tell would cause the agency that will have to deal with bank failures to increase its staff? Is the economy so good that they just wanted to add staff-Not likely. Could it be that they know something that they have not told us about? The FDIC is bracing for something, and something big. So when you see CONgress critters and Presidential candidates talking about a turn around, look at what is actually occurring. The FDIC is readying itself for rough waters ahead.

Obama wants change, but is it the kind of change you want?

The presidential candidate Barack Obama uses change as his campaign slogan. In his Houston office, there is a Cuban flag with the image of Che Guevera emblazoned on it. This is a LOUD statement. The fact that Obama tolerates it says plenty. In terms of symbols, it communicates his support of socialism and the use of force to accomplish his desires. Since many people are unaware of history. I included a video that recalls who Che was and what he really stands for. To associate oneself with such a person is tantamount to associating with other killers of the 20th century, including Hitler, Stalin, and Mao. The only thing about Che is that someone decided to make him a social icon despite his mass murdering ways. Know who you idealize, for you will become like them. To hear critics of the South demonize Forrest pales with them idealizing this killer.

Before going to the polls-Remember the light bulbs

Before going to the polls, remember which Texas CONgress critters voted to ban incandescent light bulbs. These are the CONgress critters who chose to ban the incandescent light bulbs and further intrude on our freedoms

Peter Sessions-CD 32

Selvester Reys-CD 16

Henry Cuellar CD 28

Lloyd Doggett CD 25

Thomas Edwards CD 17

Charles Gonzales CD 20

Al Green CD 9

Raymond Green CD 29

Ruben Hinojosa CD 15

Shiela Jackson Lee CD 18

Nick Lampson CD 22

Michale McCaul CD 10

Lamar Smith CD 21

If you live in these districts, remember this as you go to the polls. A vote for them will encourage them to take away more freedoms. These are the CONgress Critters who voted for the lunacy of banning incandescent light bulbs in favor of other bulbs which pose greater health hazards.

PS. To add insult to injury, the EPA has acknowledged that the bulbs should not be used everywhere, due to the poison threat. The bulbs are not supposed to be used over carpeted areas, since the mercury is VERY poisonous and it is next to impossible to remove from carpet. So besides passing insane legislation, these are the CONgress critters who are trying to poison you and your families, all in the name of the environment, which makes them either very evil or very ignorant of health related issues.

Universal Healthcare: What is at stake?

With all the recent campaigning in Texas, the candidates have frequently mentioned ‘universal health care’. To hear all the rhetoric, one would think that healthcare is a right granted by the government. Healthcare, education and other programs are not God-given, yet alone government given rights. When the empire’s government gave the people social security, it has created a financial boondoggle. Consider that if universal healthcare was implemented, the size of those costs. It would dwarf social security. Besides dwarfing social security, it would be a one size fits all approach that would limit what aspects of healthcare are available to us. The pharmaceuiticals are already trying to limit access to vitamins and supplements. Imagine what universal healthcare will do regarding access to alternative medical care.

There is also the concern of the invasion of privacy. With universal healthcare, the access to privacy is eliminated. The government system has you full medical records at their access. The recent HIPPA acts which the Clinton administration began, would have died in obscurity, but the present regime thought that it was beneficial to its plans, so it revived it and passed it. The HIPPA is nothing more than Clinton Healthcare lite. The people have not gained any new freedoms regarding healthcare under the present regime, and the prospects of any new freedoms is dim. If anything, the public will loose choices, privacy and quality with the proposed universal healthcare scam. This is not to mention that it is not government’s business to provide healthcare. For government to step into this area is nothing more than a power grab of immense proportions. It irks me to hear about all the children who don’t have healthcare and how that is used to sell the program, when under the present laws, emergency rooms can not turn anyone away for services regardless of ability to pay. In Texas, care is available for emergencies. There is a system already in place. The use of children to take over the healthcare system amounts to using emotional manipulation to scam the public.

Have the Democrats Lost Their Minds? -Part II

In the latest public display of bizarre spin, the students at Prarie View A&M were tools used by the political machine to march to the early polling places in Texas. The site posting this staged event claimed,

“Texas Republicans have worked overtime to make it harder for key Democratic voting groups to vote and be represented fairly. The redistricting games they’ve played are infamous. And for the Prairie View A&M University precincts, they put the early-polling place more than seven miles from the school.”

C’mon folks, don’t people realize that the early voting places are often far from the regular polls? In many counties, the early polling locations are often at the county courthouses, which may be a distance from where they live, depending on how many annex courthouses any given county has. In my own county it is over ten miles to the nearest courthouse and there aren’t any marches in Harris County. The event attributes this to the Republicans. It is the County that decides such matters, not the Republicans. Sadly, many will fall for this latest case of spin, and the students assume they are doing something worthwhile, although they are just pawns being used in a staged production. It would have made a louder statement had the students walked along the shoulder so that the public could see their numbers. The way it was done, large numbers of students were encouraged to show a blatant disregard for the law in falling for the latest rabble rousing at the University. Where was the Department of Public Safety to keep the roadways clear?

Have the Democrats lost their minds or just their morals?

The Democratic front runners Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton are both vying for Texas. In their pandering to various groups, they have essentially said that Texas makes too much about illegal aliens. Obama said that illegals aliens should not be used as a political football. Clinton wants to make them legal citizens. Clinton even talked of stopping the raids to enforce US laws on illegal immigrants. We in Texas know about Clinton’s using federal forces to conduct raids against citizens from our experiences with the Branch Davidians in Waco. At the very time these two were pandering to the illegal immigrant communities, two Iraqis were detained in Mexico, headed for Texas with fake passports. Illegal immigration is an important issue. It is a vital issue.  The policy that these two are stating is dangerous for the people of the South. They are taking stands that make the people vulnerable. They are suggesting putting everyone at risk, so that they can obtain a few more votes. Rewarding criminal behavior will only serve to increase the frequency of its occurrence, not lessen it. Something is wrong when the presidential candidates are saying that Texans are making too much of illegal immigrants when two potential terrorists are nabbed in Monterrey. This is sheer insanity on the part of the candidates and the people supporting their delusions.
