Myths of the Empire-part 4

Studying the reconstruction process undertaken after the war is one way to wake up to how the culture and social order of the South were attacked. It also exposes myths of the Empire. One myth that was crammed down the throats of Southrons is that the United States is a nation. It is not a nation of one people. It is a collection of nations. It is a collection of the peoples of various states. There is no one people that is of the race Americans. There is no race that is United States people. The united States is a collection of peoples. During reconstruction, the empire pushed the notion of one people, one nation, which is a myth. Along with this myth is the one that the children of one region are as important as those of another region. All children are important, yet those of our home State (Nation) are more important to us than those of another State (Nation). When Texas soldiers are laying their lives on the line, are they doing it for the street kids of San Diego? NO! They are thinking about the kids of Beaumont, San Angelo, San Antonio, Dallas and Brownsville. They are not fighting so that the kids of southern California can surf in peace. They are thinking about the kids of Texas.

This idea of the United States as a Nation went hand in hand with the equal value among the States so that the Southern States quit talking about States Rights. It also took power away from the States to grant citizenship and put it in the hands of the Feds. This is at the crux of the immigration debate going on now. In the present empire, an illegal immigrant child is as important as those born here. The way the law is leading, it seems that there are more laws in place protecting and supporting the illegal immigrant and their families than the working families that have been Texans for generations. In order to implement society changing policies, it was necessary to remove the authority of the States, and the idea of loyalty to ones State ahead of loyalty to the nation. Now the empire wants loyalty to Empire above loyalty to one’s home State.

Free the South!
