Students at Boulder High School have reciting a modified form of the pledge of allegiance. In the newly modified version, they pledge to “diversity” and add the phrase ‘with choice’. The article correctly identifies the pledge as a violation of church and state. As a Southron, the pledge is nothing more than a slap in the face foisted upon the nation by the socialist pastor Francis Bellamy. It amounts to nothing more than a pledge of loyalty. How many of you realize that the original salute to the pledge was similar to the fascist/Nazi salute?
Pledges of loyalty were common during the medieval ages in Europe. Kings and tyrants loved pledges of loyalty/allegiance. It seems that the dark lords of the empire like those old ways and want to keep remnants of them. Even in Rome, the citizens were required to annually make a pledge of allegiance to the Empire and the Emperor.
This one bothers me for several reasons. 1) the students are pledging to diversity. Diversity amounts to nothing more than selling out your own culture and cultural ways. Diversity is looking at cultures as if they were all of equal importance. Historically, diversity has often led to problems for nations and kingdoms. If the Yankees in Colorado want to sell out, they can choose to do so, but I do not understand the reason for doing so. Yankees do not always make sense, even when they are from Colorado.
2) It is historically ironic that Colorado, which was part of Texas but sold under unscrupulous terms* to the Yankees, has now sold themselves out. They have a tradition of selling out, with the exception of Tom Tancredo. It is because Colorado was part of the Republic of Texas that I feel inclined to mention this news item. If Coloradoans do not want their culture and State, Texas could buy it back. In some ways, since the Empire was negligent in doing what it said it would do, Texas could by contract law reclaim Colorado. I doubt that any lawyer would want to take such a case, because it would embarrass the Empire and expose its negligence.
Are the kids ashamed of their culture, or have they been indoctrinated to hate their culture? I have to wonder what it going on in Colorado. At Littleton, Brian Rohrburg, father of one of the shooting victims described the schools as ‘godless’. Well, it looks like they are now culture less as well. This is not the Colorado of Ralph Moody.

* The story is an interesting one where a manic-depressive, alcoholic Texas Senator went against the wishes of the citizens of Texas and arranged a deal with the devil United States selling off huge tracts of land for ten million dollars. He ramrodded the deal. His efforts caused him to loose the next election, which was the first major election he ever lost.

Your comments are intriguing. However, you have a link error where you state: “As a Southron, the pledge is nothing more than a slap in the face foisted upon the nation by the socialist pastor Francis Bellamy.” The first link in that sentence is supposed to be

You seem to be adding an extre http: to the links which causes them not to work.
