Too often people forget news from the past. Since they forget the events of the past, they are left with a distorted sense of history. It was Senator Ted Kennedy (not to be confused with the good Kennedy’s of The South Was Right fame). who pushed for and secured the 1965 immigration act. At that time he promised “…our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually…. Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset….” In the act, the use of quotas from select nations was removed and immigration turned into a first come, first serve free for all. Recall that all this was done in the name of “civil rights”.

What have we learned from this? First, the Senator in his 1965 lying should have prepared us for the 1969 Chappaquiddick episode. Both incidents should have told us something of his character. Second, the people of Massachusetts do not show common sense when electing Senators (Is it by accident that the citizens of New Hampshire refer to their neighbors as “Mass Holes”?). This same Senator Kennedy continues wanting to redo the immigration policies. He screwed it up once and now he wants to do it again. I do not believe the South cannot afford another Ted Kennedy immigration bill. We need to remember who these people are that have damaged our nation. Ted Kennedy is carpetbagging from the Imperial City, while he vacations in Florida. His visa to visit the Confederacy should be revoked for all the misery he has unleashed upon the South. He and his brother Bobby have inflicted great damage to States Rights and the sovereignty of the Southern States.

He lied to us in 1965, 1969 and little has changed since then. He is chairman of the immigration subcommitte, so he knows full well the extent of his lies and what his plan will do. Ted Kennedy is no friend of the South and never has been. Now on the eve of World Refugee Day, he want to allow a special immigration program for Iraqis who have ‘helped’ the empire in its conquests. You would have figured that by now the dupes in this nation would have learned.

Let us learn from the past, rather than repeat past mistakes.
