3 June is the birthday of President Davis.
He lived in a time of warriors and statesmen. His Christian testimony is one that is genuine. He lived his Christianity and was not ashamed of it like many of our modern politicians do.He was jailed on false charges. The trial which would have exonerated him and the South was never allowed to take place. He did not flash obscene gestures at the press. He did not curse among his aides. He did not condemn the constitution. He turned down a union with the Mexican states that attempted joining the CSA. He did not have to apologize for profligate daughters or sons. He ran his home in an orderly manner. He was a Christian gentleman. He was our President.
He is first in the hearts of his Countrymen.
