One marker to look for that indicates a society is changing is language. It was not by accident that the Nazi party placed great emphasis on language and the words used to express ideas. They purposely chose words to de-sensitize the people to certain behaviors and acts prior ro beginning their war. Here in Texas I have seen some changes in words as well. In the recent TYC debacle, the press has used the word, CZAR is depicting the person in charge of the program. Why Czar? That is a blatant Russian/Totalitarian word. Here in Texas, it would be better to use Texas oriented words. Used things like "Boss", "Head Honcho", "Man in Charge", "The Man", "Jeffe", or even "Main Hombre". These would be more in line with our culture. Someone is trying to change our culture, and take it in the direction of totalitarian thinking and Romanov/Authoritarian mindset. I do not think such actions occur by accident. During the day consider what terms you use to refer to things and people. Try replacing those PC terms with Texas based terms. I think you will be surprised with how much better it sounds and you will also wake up from the PC slumber that may have been taking over your thinking. The government often treat us like peons and use methods associated with totalitarian governments in doing so. If the government is not increasing our liberties and freedoms, then it is becoming more totalitarian. Ask yourself, "Do you have more freedoms now than you had 20 years ago?". If not, then you realize that you are now in a totalitarian government. I found some wonderful quotes by a founding father that I plan on discussing in the coming days.
Wake up to liberty.
