I found this little news item of interest. Near Nuclear Accident . It seems that while disassembling a bomb at Pantex in Amarillo, there was a near mishap. I never saw this item mentioned in the local press, so I have seen little or no validation of the item from other news sources. Given the nature of the incident, it is unlikely that much will be said. It is bothersome that a news source from Kazakhstan is the one that reported it. Could it be that the American press are not mentioning such items? I guess it is more important for Governor Perry to make sure the Trans-Texas Corridor goes through than to address potential mishaps that would have killed many Texans, and annihilated Amarillo. Addressing the near mishap and actions taken to prevent such from happening again would have made the Gubernatorial debates more to the point, than discussing which grandma is best for office, or some other fluff issue. I realize property rights were a big concern in the election, but the people have spoken and with Perry’s election, rest assured that land grabs are in the planning along with the secretive negotiations with foreign governments on Texas infrastructure. Do you think it is by accident that a Spanish company will play a big role in collecting tolls and that Chinese companies are big players at Texas ports? Are the Spanish and Chinese better businessmen than Texans or does the State government no longer trade in Texas and now sell out to multi-nationals?

I am concerned with liberty and freedom. Part of what is required to attain liberty and freedom is information. If such an incident occurred, then why do the governments of Texas and DC cover this up? Assuming that it occurred, it would reveal that there is more danger of a WMD going off in here than being attacked by them from some foreign nation. The DC government poses a greater nuclear threat to Texas and the South than does Iraq and Iran combined. This story would have to go down as the biggest hidden story of 2006 in my book. I hope it is just a misunderstood item, but given the nature of what was involved, it makes me wonder how many other such incidents have occurred that we have not heard about? Had something occurred in Amarillo you can rest assured some other nation would be blamed.

Some may express concern that why is the LS of Texas concerned with such matters. It is about our freedom. Freedom from living in fear of the Yankee overlords. It is about truth, and not being lied to. It is about Texas and its people. Any device going off in Texas is a threat to all of Texas, both present and future generations.
