The military establishment is now considering the recruitment of foreigners to fight wars. In many ways this harkens back to the War Between the States when the Yankee military machine recruited foreigners to fight their wars asles well. Foreigners . One of the seldom discussed facts is how many men the Yankees recruited to repress the South. Mercenaries from Prussia and other parts of Europe were brought into the military to ‘preserve the Union’. The soldiers were promised citizenship as part of their payoff. "Join the military, See America, Kill Southerners, Become a citizen". (and all of this propaganda was spewed out while the sounds of the Battle Hymn of the Republic echoed in the background, extolling the saving virtue of spilling Southern blood).

Ike once made the comment that the more things change, the more they remain the same. Solomon commented that there is nothing new under the sun. With the recruiting policy of Leviathan, that statement is very true. What they did before they are doing again. The Yankee government of Lincoln wanted strong central control ( an idea popular with tyrants and socialists). Lincoln wanted to spread his version of democracy to other nations-hmmm. Sounds strangely familiar.
